യു.ടി.വി സോഫ്‌റ്റ്‌വെയർ കമ്മ്യൂണിക്കേഷൻസിന്റെ ചലച്ചിത്ര വിതരണ വിഭാഗമായ യു.ടി.വി. മോഷൻ പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സ് Plc. എന്ന പേരിൽ 1996-ൽ റോണി സ്‌ക്രൂവാലയും സറീന സ്‌ക്രൂവാലയും ചേർന്ന് സ്ഥാപിച്ച യു.ടി.വി. സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയർ കമ്മ്യൂണിക്കേഷൻസിന്റെ ഫീച്ചർ ഫിലിം യൂണിറ്റാണ് യു.ടി.വി. മോഷൻ പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സ് (Disney-UTV എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു). ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പ്രമുഖ ഫിലിം സ്റ്റുഡിയോകളിൽ ഒന്നായിരുന്നു ഇത്, ദക്ഷിണേഷ്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പ്രൊഡക്ഷൻ സ്റ്റുഡിയോകളിൽ ഒന്നായിരുന്നു ഇത്. സ്റ്റുഡിയോയുടെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ക്രിയാത്മകമായ വികസനം, നിർമ്മാണം, വിപണനം, വിതരണം, ലൈസൻസിംഗ്, വ്യാപാരം, ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെ ചലച്ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള സിൻഡിക്കേഷൻ എന്നിവയിൽ വ്യാപിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്നി സ്റ്റുഡിയോസ് മോഷൻ പിക്ചേഴ്സ് നിർമ്മിച്ച ഫീച്ചർ ഫിലിമുകൾക്കായുള്ള ഡിസ്നിയുടെ വിതരണ ലേബലായിരുന്നു ഇത്.

യുടിവി മോഷൻ പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സിന് ആഭ്യന്തര പ്രാദേശിക സിനിമകളുടെയും ആനിമേഷൻ പ്രൊഡക്ഷനുകളുടെയും ഒരു ലൈബ്രറി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു, കൂടാതെ സ്റ്റുഡിയോ ബോളിവുഡിലെ ചലച്ചിത്ര നിർമ്മാണത്തിലേക്ക് നീങ്ങുകയും ഹോളിവുഡിൽ 20th സെഞ്ച്വറി ഫോക്‌സ്, വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്‌നി പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സ്, സോണി പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സ് തുടങ്ങിയ സ്റ്റുഡിയോകളുമായി സഹകരിച്ച് കൂടുതൽ വിപുലീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു[2] . 2017 ജൂലൈയിൽ ഡിസ്‌നി-യുടിവി അതിന്റെ അവസാന ചിത്രമായ ജഗ്ഗാ ജാസൂസിനൊപ്പം നിർമ്മാണ കമ്പനി അടച്ചുപൂട്ടി[3]. ദക്ഷിണേഷ്യയിലെ വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്നി സ്റ്റുഡിയോ ഫീച്ചർ ഫിലിമുകളുടെ മേൽനോട്ടം വഹിക്കുന്ന അമൃത പാണ്ഡെയാണ് ലേബലിന്റെ മേൽനോട്ടം വഹിച്ചത്[4].

2005-ൽ ദി വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്‌നി കമ്പനിയുടെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള മിറാമാക്‌സ് ഫിലിംസ് 10 വർഷത്തെ കരാറിൽ തങ്ങളുടെ കാറ്റലോഗിലെ നിരവധി സിനിമകളുടെ വിതരണാവകാശം വിറ്റപ്പോൾ ഡിസ്നിയുമായുള്ള യുടിവിയുടെ വിതരണ ബന്ധം ആദ്യമായി ആരംഭിച്ചു[27]. എന്നിരുന്നാലും മിറാമാക്‌സ് ഫിലിംയാർഡ് ഹോൾഡിംഗ്‌സിന് വിറ്റപ്പോഴും ഈ കരാർ തുടർന്നോ എന്ന് നിലവിൽ അറിയില്ല. 2008 ഡിസംബറിൽ, UTV-യുടെ ഭൂരിഭാഗം ഓഹരികളും വാങ്ങിയതിനെത്തുടർന്ന്, 2012-ൽ UTV സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയർ കമ്മ്യൂണിക്കേഷൻസിലൂടെ UTV മോഷൻ പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സിന്റെ മുഴുവൻ ഭാഗവും ഏറ്റെടുത്ത വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്നി കമ്പനി, ഇന്ത്യൻ ഉപഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിലെ അവരുടെ സിനിമകളുടെ എക്‌സ്‌ക്ലൂസീവ് വിതരണാവകാശം കൈമാറി[28]. വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്നി പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സിന്റെ ബെഡ്‌ടൈം സ്റ്റോറീസിനൊപ്പം[29]. 2013 മുതൽ ദക്ഷിണേഷ്യൻ പ്രദേശങ്ങൾക്കായുള്ള വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്നി സ്റ്റുഡിയോ മോഷൻ പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സിന്റെ എല്ലാ റിലീസുകളുടെയും എക്‌സ്‌ക്ലൂസീവ് ഡിസ്ട്രിബ്യൂട്ടറായി യുടിവി മോഷൻ പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സ് മാറി, 20-ആം സെഞ്ച്വറി സ്റ്റുഡിയോ, സെർച്ച്‌ലൈറ്റ് പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സ് എന്നിവയുടെ വിതരണാവകാശം സഹോദര കമ്പനിയായ സ്റ്റാർ സ്റ്റുഡിയോ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
