ഓർഗനൈസേഷൻ ഓഫ് ഇസ്ലാമിക് കോ ഓപറേഷൻ എന്നതിന്റെ ചുരുക്കമാണ് ഒ.ഐ.സി.( അറബി :منظمة التعاون الاسلامي) മുസ്ലിം രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര കൂട്ടായ്മയാണിത്[1].നിലവിൽ 57 രാജ്യങ്ങൾ ഇതിൽ അംഗങ്ങളാണ്.ലോക മുസ്ലിംകളുടെ പൊതു വേദിയായ ഈ സംഘടന സമാധാനത്തിലും സഹവർത്തിത്വത്തിലും കഴിയുന്ന ഒരു സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു .മുസ്ലിംകളുടെ മൂന്നാമത്തെ തീർഥാടന കേന്ദ്രമായ മസ്ജിദുൽ അഖ്സ യിൽ തീവ്രവാദികൾ അക്രമം നടത്തിയതിന്റെ പശ്ചാതലത്തിൽ 1969 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 25 (1389 റജബ് 12)ന് മൊറോക്കോ തലസ്ഥാനമായ റബാത്തിലാണ് സംഘടന രൂപം കൊണ്ടത്.
