2018-ൽ പാ. രഞ്ജിത്ത് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ തമിഴ് ഗ്യാങ്സ്റ്റർ ചലച്ചിത്രമാണ് കാലാ. തമിഴ് ചലച്ചിത്ര അഭിനേതാവ് ധനുഷ് ആണ് ഈ ചിത്രം നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നത്. രജനീകാന്ത് കേന്ദ്ര കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഈ ചിത്രം[3][4] 2016-ലാണ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. 2018 ജൂൺ 7-ന് കാലാ പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. തമിഴ്, തെലുഗു, മലയാളം, ഹിന്ദി ഭാഷകളിലായായിരിക്കും ഈ ചിത്രം പുറത്തിറങ്ങുക. 2018 ഏപ്രിൽ 27-നാണ് റിലീസ് നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്നതെങ്കിലും വി.പി.എഫ് ചാർജുകളുടെ വർധനവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് നടികർ സംഘവും ഡിജിറ്റൽ സർവീസ് ദാതാക്കളും തമ്മിലുണ്ടായി തർക്കവും 2018-ലെ കാവേരി നദീജല തർക്കവും കാരണം ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ റിലീസ് നീട്ടിവയ്ക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. [5][6] 2018 ജൂൺ 6-ാം തീയതി മലേഷ്യയിൽ പ്രദർശിപ്പിച്ച ഈ ചലച്ചിത്രം 2018 ജൂൺ 7-ന് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ 1,800 തിയേറ്ററുകളിലായി റിലീസ് ചെയ്തു. [1] [7]

പാ. രഞ്ജിത്തിന്റെ മറ്റൊരു ഗ്യാങ്സ്റ്റർ ചലച്ചിത്രമായിരുന്ന രജനീകാന്ത് നായകനായ കബാലിയുടെ വ്യാവസായിക വിജയത്തിനു ശേഷം അഭിനേതാവും നിർമ്മാതാവുമായ ധനുഷ്, ഇവർ രണ്ടുപേരും തന്റെ കീഴിലുള്ള വണ്ടർബാർ ഫിലിംസിന്റെ പുതിയ ചിത്രത്തിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുമെന്ന് 2016 ഓഗസ്റ്റിൽ അറിയിച്ചു. [12] ആദ്യ ഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഈ ചിത്രം കബാലിയുടെ രണ്ടാം ഭാഗമായിര‌ിക്കുമെന്ന് അഭ്യൂഹങ്ങളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. രജനീകാന്ത് കേന്ദ്ര കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന എസ്. ഷങ്കറിന്റെ ശാസ്ത്രകഥാ ചലച്ചിത്രമായ 2.0 യുടെ ചിത്രീകരണത്തിനു ശേഷം കാലായുടെ ചിത്രീകരണം ആരംഭിക്കുമെന്ന് തുടർന്ന് ധനുഷ് അറിയിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. തിരുെനൽവേലിയിൽ നിന്നും മുംബൈയിലേക്ക് ചെറുപ്രായത്തിൽ എത്തി തുടർന്ന് ഒരു ഡോൺ ആയി മാറുന്നതാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഉള്ളടക്കം. [13] 2017 മേയിലാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ പേര് ഔദ്യോഗികമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. [14]

അണിയറ പ്രവർത്തകർ തിരുത്തുക

ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗികമായ പ്രഖ്യാപനത്തിനുശേഷം വണ്ടർബാർ ഫിലിംസ് വിദ്യാ ബാലനെ കേന്ദ്ര കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ ക്ഷണിച്ചെങ്കിലും വിദ്യാ ബാലൻ അത് നിരസിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. [15] 2017 മേയിലാണ് ഹുമ ഖുറേഷി ചിത്രത്തിൽ അഭിനയിക്കുമെന്ന് സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചത്. രജനീകാന്തിന് എതിരായുള്ള കഥാപാത്രമാണ് ഹുമ ഖുറേഷിയുടേത് എന്നായിരുന്നു അഭ്യുഹങ്ങൾ. [16][17] തുടർന്ന് മറാത്തി ചലച്ചിത്ര അഭിനേത്രി അഞ്ജലി പാട്ടീലും തന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ട്വിറ്റർ പേജിലൂടെ കാലായിൽ ഒരു കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. [18] കബാലിയുടെ അണിയറ പ്രവർത്തകരിലും പലരും കാലായിലും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കെ.എൽ. പ്രവീണിനു പകരം എ. ശ്രീകർ പ്രസാദാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ചിത്രസംയോജകനായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചത്. [19] ബോളിവുഡ് അഭിനേതാവ് നാനാ പടേകറും ചിത്രത്തിൽ മറ്റൊരു പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. [20][21][22] എന്നാൽ, രജനീകാന്തിന് ജോഡിയായുള്ള വേഷം കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നത് ഹുമ ഖുറേഷിയല്ലെന്നും, ഈശ്വരി റാവുവായിരിക്കുമെന്നും നിർമ്മാതാക്കൽ അറിയിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. ചിത്രീകരണം തിരുത്തുക

2017 മേയ് 27-ന് മുംബൈയിൽ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ചിത്രീകരണം ആരംഭിച്ചു. ചിത്രീകരണത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ ഷെഡ്യൂളിൽ രജനീകാന്തും പങ്കെടുത്തിരുന്നു. [24][25][26][27][28] എന്നാൽ മുംബൈയിലെ കനത്ത മഴയെത്തുടർന്ന് ചെന്നൈയിൽ താൽക്കാലികമായി മുംബൈയിലെ തെരുവിന്റെ മാത‌ൃകയിൽ രംഗം സജ്ജീകരിച്ചാണ് ചില ഭാഗങ്ങൾ ചിത്രീകരിച്ചത്.

മഹീന്ദ്ര ഗ്രൂപ്പിന്റെ ചെയർമാനും മാനേജിങ് ഡയറക്ടറുമായ ആനന്ദ് മഹീന്ദ്ര, ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഫസ്റ്റ് ലുക്ക് പോസ്റ്ററിൽ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന മഹീന്ദ്ര ജീപ്പിൽ താൽപ്പര്യം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് ഈ ജീപ്പ് കമ്പനിയുടെ ഓട്ടോ മ്യൂസിയത്തിൽ പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കാനായി വാങ്ങുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ ട്വിറ്റർ പേജിലൂടെ അറിയിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.
