അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളുടെ സംസ്ഥാന പക്ഷികൾ

ഐക്യനാടുകളുടെ സംസ്ഥാന നിയമസഭകൾ അംഗീകരിച്ച സംസ്ഥാന പക്ഷികളുടെ പട്ടിക. സംസ്ഥാന പക്ഷികളെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന രീതി ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത് 1927 ൽ അലബാമ, ഫ്ലോറിഡ, മൈനെ, മിസൌറി, ഒറിഗോൺ, ടെക്സാസ്‍, വ്യോമിങ്ങ് തുടങ്ങിയ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങള‍്‍ അവരവരുടെ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ പക്ഷികളെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയതോടെയാണ്. സംസ്ഥാന പക്ഷിയെ അവസാനമായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത സംസ്ഥാനം 1973 ൽ അരിസോണയാണ്. അലാസ്ക, കാലിഫോർണിയ, സൌത്ത് ഡെക്കോട്ട, പെൻസിൽവാനിയ തുടങ്ങിയ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ സംസ്ഥാന പക്ഷികളെ വേട്ടയാടുന്നതിനു അനുവാദം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും അലബാമ, ജോർജ്ജിയ, മസാച്ചുസെറ്റ്സ്, സൌത്ത് കരോലിന, ടെന്നസി തുടങ്ങിയ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ വേട്ടയാടുന്നതിൽ പ്രത്യേകമായ നിഷ്കർകളൊന്നുമില്ലാതെ അധികമായി ഒരു സംസ്ഥാന വേട്ടപ്പക്ഷിയെക്കൂടി നിഷ്കർശിച്ചിരുന്നു. നോർത്തേൺ കാർഡിനൽ ഏഴു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ സംസ്ഥാന പക്ഷിയാണ്. അതുപോലെ തന്നെ വെസ്റ്റേൺ മെഡോലാർക്ക് ആറ് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾക്കും ഒരു പോലെ സംസ്ഥാന പക്ഷിയാണ്. നിരവധി സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങള്ക്ക് സംസ്ഥാന പക്ഷികളെക്കൂടാതെ പ്രത്യേകമായ സംസ്ഥാന ഡിനോസുകളം അതുപോലെ സംസ്ഥാന ഷഡ്പദങ്ങൾ, സംസ്ഥാന സസ്തനി അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സംസ്ഥാന കുതിര എന്നിവയൊക്കെ പ്രത്യേകമായിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതുകൂടാതെ 50 സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾക്കും പൊതുവായിട്ട് ഒരു സംസ്ഥാനപക്ഷി വേറേയുമുണ്ട്.
