ചരിത്രം
തിരുത്തുകഈ പുരസ്കാരം 2007 -ൽ അമേരിക്കയിൽ അന്നത്തെ അമേരിക്കൻ സ്റ്റേറ്റ് സെക്രട്ടറിയായിരുന്ന കോൻടോലീസ്സ റൈസ്[1] അന്താരാഷ്ട്രാവനിതാദിനത്തിൽ എല്ലാവർഷവും മാർച്ച് 8 -ന് ഏർപ്പാടുചെയ്യുന്നരീതിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതാണ്. ഓരോ രാജ്യത്തെയും അമേരിക്കൻ എംബസിക്ക് ഓരോ വനിതകളെ നാമനിർദ്ദേശം ചെയ്യാവുന്നതാണ്.[2]
