പയർ കുടുംബത്തിലെ ഒരു വള്ളിച്ചെടിയാണ് തോട്ടപ്പയർ. (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Pueraria phaseoloides). ഉഷ്ണമേഖലയിലെ നല്ലൊരു കാലിത്തീറ്റയും മണ്ണിനുപുതനൽകുന്നസസ്യവുമാണിത്.^[2] ആസ്ത്രേലിയയിൽ പ്യൂറോ (puero) എന്നും ബാക്കി ഉഷ്ണമേഖലകളിൽ ട്രോപ്പിക്കൽ കുഡ്‌സു എന്നും ഇത് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു^[3] പ്യൂറേറിയയുടെ മറ്റു സ്പീഷിസുകളുമായി നല്ല സാമ്യമുള്ള ഈ ചെടി അവയുമായി സങ്കരമാക്കുവാനും കഴിയുന്നതാണ്.
