ഹെൻറി ഫോർഡ്
ആദ്യത്തെ മോട്ടോർ കാർ നിർമ്മിക്കുകയും പതിനൊന്നു വർഷത്തിനു ശേഷം “ഫോർഡ് മോട്ടോർ കമ്പനി” സ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ഹെൻറി ഫോർഡ് 1863 ജൂലൈ 30 ന് ജനിച്ചു.[1] നല്ലൊരു വ്യവസായിയും ലാഭത്തിൻറെ ഒരു ഭാഗം മനുഷ്യ നന്മയ്ക്കു വേണ്ടി വിനിയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അമേരിക്കയിലെ മിഷിഗണിൽ ജനിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു കർഷകനായി ജീവിതമാരംഭിച്ച് കാർ നിർമ്മാണത്തിനെ തുടർന്ന് ട്രാക്ടറുകളുടെയും, ടാങ്കുകളുടെയും വിമാനങ്ങളുടെയും നിർമ്മാണം ആരംഭിച്ചു.

ജീവിതരേഖതിരുത്തുക
1863 ജൂലൈ 30-ആം തീയതി വില്യം ഫോർഡ്, മേരി ഫോർഡ് ദമ്പതിമാരുടെ പുത്രനായി മിഷിഗണിൽ ജനിച്ചു[2]. ഫോർഡ് തന്റെ ചെറുപ്പത്തിൽ പിതാവിന്റെ വിളനിലത്തിൽ പണിയെടുത്തിരുന്നു. മാർഗരറ്റ്, ജെയ്ൻ, വില്യം, റോബർട്ട് എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു ഹെൻറിയുടെ സഹോദരങ്ങൾ.
അച്ഛൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് കുട്ടിക്കാലത്തു ഒരു പോക്കറ്റ് വാച്ച് കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു. പതിനഞ്ചാം വയസ്സിൽ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളുടെയും അയൽവാസികളുടെയും വാച്ചുകൾ അഴിക്കുകയും തിരിച്ചു ശരിയാക്കി വയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത് വാച്ച് നന്നാക്കുന്നതിൽ പേരെടുത്തു[3]. 1876ൽ അമ്മ മരിച്ചതോടെ തകർന്നുപോയ ഹെൻറി, പിന്നീട് പാരമ്പര്യമായി നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് വന്ന വിളനിലം നോക്കിനടത്തുന്നതിൽ നിന്നും പിൻവാങ്ങി.
1879ൽ വീട് വിട്ടിറങ്ങിയ ഹെൻറി ഡെട്രോയിറ്റിൽ ചെറിയ ജോലികൾ ചെയ്തു. 1882ൽ മടങ്ങി വിളനിലത്തിൽ പണിയെടുക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അവിടെവെച്ച് വിളനിലത്തിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ആവിയന്ത്രം പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽ പ്രഗല്ഭനായി. പിന്നീട് വെസ്റ്റിംഗ്ഹൗസ് എന്ന സ്ഥാപനത്തിൽ ആവിയന്ത്രം നന്നാക്കുന്ന ജോലിയിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചു. ഇതേ സമയം കണക്കെഴുത്തും ഡെട്രോയിറ്റിലെ ഒരു കലാലയത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഫോർഡ് പഠിച്ചു[4].
1875 ൽ രണ്ടു പ്രധാന സംഭവങ്ങൾ തൻ്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ സംഭവിച്ചതായി ഫോർഡ് തൻ്റെ ആത്മകഥയിൽ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതിൽ ഒന്ന് അച്ഛൻ വാച്ച് കൊടുത്തതായിരുന്നു. രണ്ടാമത്തത് അതുവരെ കണ്ടതിൽ നിന്നും വ്യത്യസ്തമായി കുതിരയില്ലാതെ ഒരു എൻജിൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് വണ്ടി ഓടുന്നതായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ആവിയന്ത്രങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കിനോക്കി. 1885ൽ ഓട്ടോ എൻജിനിൽ പണിയെടുത്ത് ശീലിച്ചു. 1892ൽ അദ്ദേഹം തൻ്റെ ആദ്യ മോട്ടോർ വാഹനം ഉണ്ടാക്കി. അതിൽ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ വരുത്തിക്കൊണ്ടേ ഇരുന്ന ഫോർഡ്, 1895നും 1896നും ഇടയിൽ 1000 മൈലുകൾ സഞ്ചരിച്ചു. 1896ൽ രണ്ടാം വണ്ടി ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ ആരംഭിച്ച ഫോർഡ്, പിന്നീട് മൂന്നാമത് ഒരു വണ്ടി കൂടി തൻ്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കി[5].
ഔദ്യോഗികജീവിതംതിരുത്തുക
1891-ൽ തോമസ് ആൽ‌വ എഡിസന്റെ എഡിസൺ ഇല്ല്യുമിനേറ്റിങ്ങ് കമ്പനിയിൽ സബ്-സ്റ്റേഷൻ നൈറ്റ് എഞ്ചിനീയറായി ഫോർഡ് ജോലിയിൽ പ്രെവേശിച്ചു. ഇലക്ട്രിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ്ങിൽ തല്പരനായിരുന്ന് ഫോർഡിനു ഇല്ല്യുമിനേറ്റിങ്ങ് കമ്പനിയിലെ ജോലി വളരെയധികം ഇഷ്ടമായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് 1892-ൽ ഫോർഡിനെ ആവിയന്ത്ര മേയ്ന്റനൻസ് എഞ്ചിനിയറായി നിയമിച്ചു.[6] മേയ്ന്റനൻസ് എഞ്ചിനീയർ തസ്തിക ഫോർഡിനു ഗ്യാസോലിൻ ഇഞ്ചിനുകളിൽ കൂടുതൽ പരീക്ഷങ്ങൾ നടത്തുവാനുള്ള അവസരം ലഭിച്ചു.
ഫോർഡ് മോട്ടോർ കമ്പനിതിരുത്തുക
1903 ജൂൺ 16-ന് ഹെനറി ഫോർഡ് ഫോർഡ് മോട്ടോർ കമ്പനി രൂപികരിച്ചു. ഫോർഡ് തന്റെ കമ്പനിയിൽ പ്രൊഡക്ഷൻ ലൈൻ സമ്പ്രദായം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. ഇതു വാഹനങ്ങളുടെ നിർമ്മാണസമയം ക്രമാധിതമായി കുറയ്ക്കുകയുണ്ടയി. അതിനാൽ ഫോർഡ് പിന്നീട് ഫാദർ ഒഫ് മാസ് പ്രൊഡക്ഷ്ൻ എന്നറിയപെടുന്നത്.[7] ഹെനറി ഫോർഡ് പിന്തുടർന്ന പ്രവർത്തനരീതി പിന്നീട് ഫോർഡിസം എന്നറിയപെടുന്നത്.[8][9]
