കേരളത്തിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന സൂചിവാലൻ കുടുംബത്തിൽ ഉള്ള ഒരു കല്ലൻതുമ്പിയിനമാണ് തുരുമ്പൻ ചാത്തൻ (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Anax ephippiger).[4][5][6][7][8][3]മൺസൂൺ കാറ്റിലൂടെ ആഫ്രോ ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ, യൂറോപ്പ്, മധ്യ, തെക്കേ ഏഷ്യ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഇത് കുടിയേറുന്നു.[9]
