എല്ലാ ജീവജാലങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുമുള്ള വിവരങ്ങൾ ശേഖരിക്കുക എന്ന ഉദ്ദേശത്തോടെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഒരു സ്വതന്ത്ര സഹകരണ ഇന്റർനെറ്റ്‌ വിജ്ഞാനകോശമാണ് എൻസൈക്ലോപീഡിയ ഓഫ് ലൈഫ്, Encyclopedia of Life (EOL). ലോകത്തെല്ലായിടത്തുമുള്ള വിദഗ്ദരും അവിദഗ്ദരുമായ ആളുകളുടെ സംഭാവനകൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് ഇത് നിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.[2] ഓരോ സ്പീഷീസിനെക്കുറിച്ചുമുള്ള വിവരണത്തിനുപുറമെ അവയുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ, വീഡിയോകൾ, ശബ്ദരേഖകൾ, ചിത്രീകരണങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയും ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.[3]
