കിന്നരിപ്പരുന്ത്
ആക്സിപിട്രിഡൈ കുടുംബത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട ഒരു ഇരപിടിയൻ പക്ഷിയാണ് കിന്നരിപ്പരുന്ത്.[2] [3][4][5] കിന്നരിപ്പരുന്തിന് ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ Changeable Hawk-Eagle എന്നും Crested Hawk-Eagle എന്നും പേരുകളുണ്ട്. ശാസ്ത്രീയ നാമം Nisaetus cirrhatus എന്നാണ്. ഇതൊരു ഇര പിടിയൻ പക്ഷിയാണ്.

ഇന്ത്യൻ ഉപഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിൽ ഇന്ത്യയിലും ശ്രീലങ്കയിലും കാണുന്നു. ഹിമാലയത്തിന്റെ തെക്കുകിഴക്കെ അതിരുതൊട്ട് തെക്കു കിഴക്കെ ഏഷ്യയിലും ഇന്തോനേഷ്യവരേയും ഫിലിപ്പീൻസിലും കാണുന്നു.
മരത്തിൽ കമ്പുകൾ കൊണ്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയ കൂട്ടിൽ ഒരു മുട്ടയിടുന്നു.
വിവരണം തിരുത്തുക
60-72 സെ.മീ നീളമുണ്ട്.ചിറകിന് 127- 138 സെ.മീ നീളമുണ്ട്. തൂക്കം 1.2 കി.ഗ്രാം മുതൽ 1,9 കി.ഗ്രാം വരെയാണ്. [6] മുകളിൽ തവിട്ടു നിറം. പറക്കൽ ചിറകുകളുടെ അടിവശവും വാലും വെള്ളയും വരകളോട് കൂടിയതുമാണ്. കഴുത്തിൽ കറുത്ത വരകളുണ്ട്. നെഞ്ചിൽ തവിട്ടു വരകളുണ്ട്. പൂവൻ പിടയേക്കാൾ 15% ചെറുതാണ്. [7]

ഇവ സസ്തനികളേയും ഉരഗങ്ങളേയും പക്ഷികളേയും ഇരയാക്കും. കാടിന്നടുത്തുള്ള തുറസ്സായ സ്ഥലത്തുള്ള ഉയർന്ന മരക്കൊമ്പിൽ ഇരയെ കാത്തിരിക്കും. കാട്ടിൽ നിന്നും പുറത്തു വരുന്ന ഇരയെ നഖം കൊണ്ട് പിടിച്ച് ഉയരും.
പ്രജനനം തിരുത്തുക
ഡിസംബർ മുതല് ഏപ്രിൽ വരെയാണ് മുട്ടയിടുന്ന കാലം. ഉയർന്ന കാട്ടുമരത്തിൽ കമ്പുകൾകൊണ്ട് ഉയർത്തിയുണ്ടാക്കിയ കൂട്ടിൽ പച്ചില വിരിച്ചിരിയ്ക്കും. ചാരനിറം കലർന്ന വെള്ള നിറത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു മുട്ടയിടും. അടയാളങ്ങളില്ലാത്തതാണ് മുട്ട. ചിലപ്പോൾ പരന്ന ഭാഗത്ത് ചുവപ്പു രാശിയുള്ള അടയാളം ഉണ്ടാവാറുണ്ട്.
