വയലറ്റ് ബാക്ക്ഡ് സ്റ്റാർലിംഗ്
പ്ലം കളേർഡ് സ്റ്റാർലിംഗ്, അമിഥിസ്റ്റ് സ്റ്റാർലിംഗ് എന്നീ നാമങ്ങളിലറിയപ്പെടുന്ന വയലറ്റ് ബാക്ക്ഡ് സ്റ്റാർലിംഗ് (Cinnyricinclus leucogaster) സ്റ്റർനിഡീ കുടുംബത്തിലെ താരതമ്യേന സ്റ്റാർലിങ് സ്പീഷീസിലെ ഒരു ചെറിയ പക്ഷിയാണ്. ശക്തമായ ആൺ-പെൺ രൂപവ്യത്യാസം കാണിക്കുന്ന സ്പീഷീസാണ് ഇത്. സബ് -സഹാറൻ ആഫ്രിക്കയിലെ പ്രധാനമായും സാവന്ന വന പ്രദേശത്തും വ്യാപകമായി കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. അപൂർവ്വമായി മാത്രമേ ഇതിനെ നിലത്ത് കാണപ്പെടുന്നുള്ളൂ. മണ്ണിൽ നിന്നും അകന്നു നിൽക്കുന്ന ഇവ കൂടുതലും മരങ്ങളിലാണ് കാണപ്പെടുന്നത്.
