മരവരമ്പൻ
യൂറോപ്പിലും ഏഷ്യയുടെ പടിഞ്ഞാറും മധ്യത്തിലുമുള്ള മിതശീതോഷ്‌ണമേഖലകളിലും പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്ന ഒരു ചെറിയ പാസെറൈൻ പക്ഷിയാണ് മരവരമ്പൻ[2] [3][4][5] (tree pipit), Anthus trivialis. മഞ്ഞുകാലത്ത് ആഫ്രിക്കയിലേയ്ക്കും ദക്ഷിണ ഏഷ്യയിലേയ്ക്കും ദീർഘദൂരം ദേശാടനം നടത്തുന്ന പക്ഷിയാണിത്. ശാസ്ത്രനാമം ലാറ്റിനിൽ നിന്നാണ്. അൻടുസ് എന്നാൽ പുൽമേട്ടിലെ കുഞ്ഞുപക്ഷിയെന്നും ട്രിവിയൽസ് എന്നാൽ സാധാരാണമെന്നുമാണ് അർത്ഥം .[6]
