മഞ്ഞപ്പുരികൻ ഇലക്കുരുവിയ്ക്ക് ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ Yellow-browed Warbler എന്നു പേരുണ്ട്. ശാസ്ത്രീയ നാമം Phylloscopus inornatus എന്നാണ്.

ഇതൊരു ദേശാടാന പക്ഷിയാണ്.
വിവരണം തിരുത്തുക
9.5 -11 സെ.മീ നീളം. 4-9 ഗ്രം തൂക്കം. പച്ച നിറമുള്ള മേൽഭാഗം, വെള്ള അടിവശം. പുരികത്തിനു മുകൾ വശം മഞ്ഞ നിറം. ചിറകിൽ മഞ്ഞ കലർന്ന വെള്ള നിറമുള്ള രണ്ടു വരകൾ. [2] ഇവ നാണംകുണുങ്ങികൾ അല്ലെങ്കിലും മരത്തിൽ ജ്ജിവിക്കുന്നവ ആയതുകൊണ്ട് കാണാൻ എളുപ്പമല്ല. ഇവ എപ്പോഴും ചലിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നവയാണ്.
പ്രജനനം തിരുത്തുക
തിങ്ങിനിറഞ്ഞ പച്ചപ്പുള്ളിടത്ത് മരത്തിന്റെ അടിയിലൊ മരക്കുറ്റിയിലോ കൂടുവെയ്ക്കുന്നു. 2-4 മുട്ടകൾ ഇടും. 11-14 ദിവസത്തിനകം മുട്ട വിരിയും. 12-13 ദിവസം കൊണ്ട് കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ പറക്കും.
