ബ്ലയ്ത്ത് വരമ്പന്[2] [3][4][5] ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ Blyth's Pipit എന്നാണ് പേര്. ശാസ്ത്രീയ നാമംAnthus godlewskii എന്നാണ്. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ജന്തുശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായ എഡ്വേഡ് ബ്ലിത്തിന്റെ അനുസ്മരണയ്ക്കായാണ് ഈ പേര്.

മംഗോളിയയിലും പരിസരങ്ങളിലും പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്നു. തണുപ്പുകാലത്ത് തെക്കേഏഷ്യയിലേക്ക് ദേശാടനം നടത്തുന്നു, അപൂർവമായി പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ യൂറോപ്പിലേക്കും.

മുകൾഭാഗത്ത് തവിട്ടുനിറം, അടിവശത്ത് മങ്ങിയ നിറം. വയൽ വരമ്പനോട് സാമ്യമുണ്ട്. വയല്വരമ്പനേക്കാൾ വലിപ്പം കുറവ്, ചെറിയ കാലുകൾ, ചെറിയ ഉരുണ്ട കൊക്കുകൾ എന്നിവയുണ്ട്.
