വെള്ളയിൽ കറുത്തപുള്ളികളോടുകൂടിയതാണ് ഇതിന്റെ ശരീരം.

നിലത്തോടു ചേർന്ന് വളരെ പതുക്കെയാണ് ഇവ പറക്കുക. ഇടക്കിടക്ക് പുൽത്തുമ്പുകളിലും ഇലകളിലും മറ്റും വിശ്രമിച്ച ശേഷം കുറച്ചു പറക്കുന്ന രീതിയാണ് ഇവക്കുള്ളത്. ചെറിയ കുറ്റിക്കാടുകളിലും തുറന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും ഇവയെ കാണാം. വർഷക്കാലങ്ങളിൽ ഇവയുടെ ശരീരം കൂടുതൽ മനോഹരമാകും..^[7]
