ഗാസായുദ്ധം

2008–2009 വർഷത്തിലെ ശീതകാലത്ത് തെക്കൻ ഇസ്രയേലിലും ഗാസാ ചീന്തിലും വെച്ചു നടന്ന മൂന്നാഴ്ച നീണ്ടുനിന്ന ഇസ്രയേൽ -ഹമാസ് പോരാട്ടമാണ്‌ ഗാസായുദ്ധം. "ഓപ്പറേഷൻ കാസ്റ്റ് ലീഡ്" എന്ന് നാമകരണം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട ഈ ആക്രമണം 2008 ഡിസംബർ 27 ന്‌ ഗാസാചീന്തിൽ ഇസ്രയേലാണ്‌ തുടക്കമിട്ടത്. അറബ് ലോകത്ത് ഈ ആക്രമണം 'ഗാസാ കൂട്ടക്കൊല' (Arabic: مجزرة غزة‎) എന്നാണ്‌ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്[38]. 'തെക്കൻ മേഖലയിലെ യുദ്ധം' എന്ന് ഇസ്രയേലി മാധ്യമങ്ങളും ഈ ആക്രമണത്തെ വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു[39]. ഗാസാചീന്തിനുള്ളിലേക്കും പുറത്തേക്കുമുള്ള ആയുധക്കടത്ത് തടയുമെന്നും ഹമാസിന്റെ റോക്കറ്റാക്രമണം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നും പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഡിസംബർ 27 ന്‌ ഇസ്രയേൽ ബോംബാക്രമണം തുടങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു. ഈ ആക്രമണത്തിൽ ഇസ്രയേലിന്‌ മറ്റുചില ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും പ്രേരണകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായി പുറത്തുവന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്[40][41]. ജനങ്ങളുടെ ആവാസ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ, പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനുകൾ,സൈനിക കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ, സർക്കാർ കെട്ടിടങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ ഇസ്രയേൽ സൈന്യം ആക്രമിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി[42][43]. സാധാരണ പൗരന്മാരുടെ ആവാസകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളും വ്യാപകമായി നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ഹമാസും അതിന്റെ മിസൈൽ ,മോർട്ടാർ ആക്രമണം ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും യുദ്ധത്തിലുടനീളം ജനസാമാന്യത്തിന്റെ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കുകയുമുണ്ടായി[44]. 2009 ജനുവരി 3 ന്‌ കരയുദ്ധവും ഇസ്രയേൽ ആരംഭിച്ചു. ഏകപക്ഷീയമായ വെടിനിറുത്തൽ ഇസ്രയേൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതോടെ ഒരാഴ്ചക്കാലത്തെ വെടിനിറുത്തൽ ഹമാസും പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് ജനുവരി 18 ന്‌ യുദ്ധം അവസാനിച്ചു[45][46]. ജനുവരി 21 ന്‌ ഇസ്രയേൽ പിൻ‌വാങ്ങൽ പൂർത്തിയാക്കി[47]. 1,166 നും 1,417 നും ഇടയിലെണ്ണം വരുന്ന പലസ്തീനികളും 13 ഇസ്രയേലികളും ഈ ആക്രമണത്തിൽ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു[48]. വെള്ളമില്ലാതെ 4 ലക്ഷം ഗാസൻ ജനത വലഞ്ഞു. 4000 വീടുകൾ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുകയോ കേടുപാടുകൾ സംഭവിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തു. പതിനായിരക്കണക്കിന്‌ ജനങ്ങൾ ഭവന രഹിതരായി . 80 സർക്കാർ എടുപ്പുകൾ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു[49]. 2009 സെപ്റ്റംബർ മാസത്തിൽ ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സഭയുടെ മനുഷ്യാവകാശ കൗൺസിൽ (United Nations Human Rights Council -UNHRC) പുറത്തുവിട്ട റിപ്പോർട്ട് പ്രകാരം ഇസ്രയേലികളും പലസ്തീനികളും യുദ്ധക്കുറ്റം ചെയ്തതായി കണ്ടെത്തുകയും അവരെ നിയമത്തിനു മുന്നിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതിനായി റിപ്പോർട്ട് ശിപാർശ ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു[50][51][52]. ഗാസ ആക്രമണത്തിൽ ഇസ്രയേൽ, നിരോധിത വെള്ള ഫോസ്ഫറസ് പോലുള്ള മാരക വസ്തുക്കളടങ്ങിയ ആയുധങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചതായി സ്ഥിരീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.[53]. ഇസ്രയേലിന്റെ ഈ ആക്രമണത്തിൽ 200 നും 300 നും ഇടക്ക് കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളും കൊലചെയ്യപ്പെടുകയുണ്ടായി.[54]

ഈജിപ്തും ഇസ്രയേലും അതിരിടുന്ന മെഡിറ്ററേനിയൻ സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ കിഴക്കൻ തീരത്ത് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന തീരപ്രദേശമാണ്‌ ഗാസാമുനമ്പ് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഗാസാചീന്ത്. ഭൂമയിലെ ഏറ്റവും ജനസാന്ദ്രതയുള്ള സ്ഥലമാണിത്[55][56]. അമേരിക്കൻ ചാരസംഘടനയായ സി.ഐ.എയുടെ 2008 ജൂലൈ വരെയുള്ള ഫാക്ട്ബുക്ക് കണക്ക് പ്രകാരം 1,500,202 ജനങ്ങൾ 360 ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണത്തിലുള്ള ഈ കൊച്ചു സ്ഥലത്ത് തിങ്ങിപ്പാർക്കുന്നു. ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സഭ , ഹ്യൂമൻ റൈറ്റ്സ് വാച്ച്(Human Rights Watch -HRW) ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള നിരവധി രാജ്യാന്തര സംഘടനകളും സർക്കാരിതര സന്നദ്ധസംഘടനകളും മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നത്, ഗാസാചീന്തിന്റെ മുഴുവൻ അധികാരങ്ങളും ഇസ്രയേൽ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുകയാണ്‌ എന്നാണ്‌. ഗാസയുടെ കരപ്രദേശവും ഗാസാപരിധിയിൽ വരുന്ന സമുദ്രാതിർഥികളും ഇസ്രയേൽ കൈടക്കി വെച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്‌. ഇതുവഴി ഗാസക്കുപുറത്തേക്കുള്ള കരയിലൂടെയോ കടലിലൂടെയോ ഉള്ള ജനങ്ങളുടെയും ചരക്കുകളുടെയും നീക്കങ്ങളെ ഇസ്രയേൽ തടഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു[57][58][59]. എന്നാൽ ഇസ്രയേൽ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നത് , നാലാം ജനീവ കരാറിലെ ആർട്ടിക്കിൾ 6 പ്രകാരം 2005 ൽ ഇസ്രയേൽ അതിന്റെ ഗാസാ അധിനിവേശം നിറുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അവിടെ ഇസ്രയേൽ സർക്കാറിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനമില്ല എന്നുമാണ്‌[60][61].
