അന്ന അറ്റ്‌കിൻസ്
അന്ന അറ്റ്‌കിൻസ് ( 16 മാർച്ച് 1799 – 9 ജൂൺ 1871[1] ) ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്കാരിയായ സസ്യശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞയും ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫറും ആയിരുന്നു. ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫിക് ചിത്രങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ആദ്യ വ്യക്തിയാണ് അന്ന അറ്റ്‌കിൻസ്.[2][3][4] ചില തെളിവുകൾ അനുസരിച്ചു ആദ്യമായി ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫുകൾ എടുത്ത വനിത എന്ന ബഹുമതിയും ഇവർക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്നു.[3][4][5][6]

ആദ്യകാല ജീവിതം തിരുത്തുക
ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിൽ കെന്റ് നു സമീപം ടോൺബ്രിജ് എന്ന സ്ഥലത്താണ് ഇവർ ജനിച്ചത്(1799[1]) . ഇവരുടെ അമ്മ 1800-ൽ തന്നെ മരണമടഞ്ഞു[5]. അന്ന പിതാവായ ജോൺ ജോർജ്ജ് ചിൽഡ്രൻ ന്റെ സംരക്ഷണയിലാണ് വളർന്നത്.[7] വ്യത്യസ്തമായ ശാസ്ത്ര അഭിരുചികൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ജോൺ ജോർജ്ജിന്റെ ബഹുമാനാർഥം ചിൽഡ്രനൈറ്റ്, ചിൽഡ്രൻസ് പൈത്തൻ എന്നീ ധാതുകൾ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.[8] ആ കാലത്തു സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് പൊതുവേ ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നതിലും ഉയർന്ന ശാസ്ത്ര വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം അന്നയ്ക്ക് ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു.."[9] 1823 ജോൺ ജോർജ്ജ് ചിൽഡ്രൻ വിവർത്തനം ചെയ്ത Lamarck's Genera of Shells എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിൽ അന്നയുടെ ചിത്രവേലകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു[9][10].
1825-ൽ പെല്ലി അറ്റ്‌കിൻസ്നെ വിവാഹം ചെയ്ത അന്ന ഹാൾസ്റ്റീഡ പ്ലേസിൽ താമസിച്ചു. അവിടെ വച്ചാണ് സസ്യശാസ്ത്രം കൂടുതലായി പഠിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയത് ആ സമയത്താണ് ഉണങ്ങിയ ചെടികളെ ശേഖരിക്കുവാനും പിന്നീട് അവയുടെ ഫോറ്റൊഗ്രാംസ്[പ്രവർത്തിക്കാത്ത കണ്ണി] നിർമ്മിക്കുവാനും തുടങ്ങി.[9]

അന്നയുടെ 216-ാം മത് ജന്മദിനത്തോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ച്, പ്രമുഖ ഇന്റർനെറ്റ് സെർച്ച് എഞ്ചിനായ ഗൂഗിൾ അവരുടെ ബഹുമാനാർത്ഥം 16 മാർച്ച് 2015 നു ഡൂഡിൽ പുറത്തിറക്കി.[11]
