അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളുടെ പത്തൊൻപതാമത്തെ വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റായിരുന്നു വില്യം എ. വീലർ ന്യുയോർക്കിനെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച് അമേരിക്കൻ പ്രതിനിധി സഭയിൽ അംഗമായി. റഥർഫോർഡ് ബി ഹയെസ് അമേരിക്കൻ പ്രസിഡന്റായ 1877 മുതൽ 1881 വരെ വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റായി സേവനമനുഷ്ടിച്ചു.[1]

തിരുത്തുക1819 ജൂൺ 30ന് ന്യുയോർക്കിലെ മലോണിൽ ജനിച്ചു.വില്യം അൽമൺ വീലർ എന്നാണ് പൂർണനാമം. ഫ്രാങ്ക്‌ലിൻ അക്കാദമി, വെർമൊൻട് സർവ്വകലാശാല എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ പഠിച്ചു. സാമ്പത്തിക കാരണങ്ങളാൽ ബിരുദം നേടാനായില്ല.[2]
