ഗാലന്തസ് ജനുസിൽപ്പെട്ട ഔഷധികളും ബഹുവർഷ കുറ്റിച്ചെടികളും ബൾബുവിഭാഗത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട സസ്യങ്ങളും ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന അമരില്ലിഡേസി കുടുംബത്തിലെ സപുഷ്പികളുടെ ഒരു സ്പീഷീസാണ് ഗാലന്തസ് എൽവേസി (Elwes's snowdrop, greater snowdrop). ഇത് കോക്കസസിലെ സ്വദേശിയാണ്. ഹെൻറി ജോൺ എൽവസിന്റെ ബഹുമാനാർത്ഥമാണ് ഈ സ്പീഷീസിന് പേർ നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
