സമരിൻഡ
ബോർണിയോ ദ്വീപിലെ ഇന്തോനേഷ്യൻ പ്രവിശ്യയായ കിഴക്കൻ കലിമന്താന്റെ തലസ്ഥാനമാണ് സമരിൻഡ. മഹകം നദീതീരത്താണ് ഈ നഗരം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ബോർണിയോ ദ്വീപിലെ ഏറ്റവും ജനസംഖ്യയുള്ള നഗരം ഇതാണ്. ജനസംഖ്യ 842,691 ആണ്. [2] 2010 ലെ സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം 726,223 പേർ ആണ് ഇവിടെ ഉള്ളത്.[3]കിഴക്കൻ കലിമന്തന്റെ തലസ്ഥാനമാണെങ്കിലും ചില സർക്കാർ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളായ പോലീസ്, ഇന്തോനേഷ്യൻ ആർമി ഡിസ്ട്രിക്റ്റ് VI ഓഫ് തൻജംഗ് പുര, പെലാബുഹാൻ ഇന്തോനേഷ്യ (തുറമുഖ ഗതാഗതം) എന്നിവയും നഗരത്തിലുണ്ട്. പരമ്പരാഗത ഭക്ഷണം ആംപ്ലാങ്ങിനും സരുംഗ് സമരിന്ദ തുണിയ്ക്കും സമരിന്ദ പ്രശസ്തമാണ്.[4] നഗരത്തിന്റെ നദീതീരങ്ങളെ ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മഹകം ബ്രിഡ്ജും കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. നഗര കേന്ദ്രം ഒരു വശത്തും മറുവശം സമരിന്ദ സെബരംഗ് എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.
