ജീവചരിത്രം തിരുത്തുക

ചരിത്രകാരനും ഗവേഷകനും കോളമിസ്റ്റുമായ(വർത്തമാനപത്രത്തിൽ പംക്തിയെഴുതുന്നയാൾ) മനു എസ്. പിള്ള 1990 ൽ കേരളത്തിലെ മാവേലിക്കരയിലാണ് ജനിച്ചത്. പൂനെയിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം വളർന്നത്.പൂനെയിലെ ഫെർഗൂസൺ കോളേജിൽ നിന്ന് സാമ്പത്തിക ശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ ബിരുദം നേടി. ലണ്ടനിലെ കിംഗ്സ് കോളേജിൽ നിന്ന് ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ റിലേഷൻസിൽ ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദം നേടി. ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദത്തിന് ശേഷം ന്യൂഡൽഹിയിലെ ശശി തരൂറിന്റെ പാർലമെന്ററി ഓഫീസിലും ലണ്ടനിലെ കരൺ ബിലിമോറിയ പ്രഭുമായും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു[1].അമ്പത് മഹത്തായ ജീവിതങ്ങളിലൂടെ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കഥ പറയുന്ന ബിബിസി സീരീസ്, Incarnations വിത്ത് സുനിൽ ഖിൽനാനി, ഗവേഷകനായും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. 2017 ൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു മുഴുവൻ സമയ ചരിത്രകാരനും എഴുത്തുകാരനുമായി[2][3][4].ഇപ്പോൾ ലണ്ടനിലെ കിംഗ്സ് കോളേജിൽ പിഎച്ച്ഡി ചെയ്യുന്നു[5].

'''ദന്ത സിംഹാസനം''' : തിരുവിതാംകൂർ രാജവംശത്തിന്റെ അതിശയകരമായ നാൾവഴികൾ, എന്ന സാഹിത്യസൃഷ്‌ടിയുടെ അരങ്ങേറ്റത്തിലൂടെയാണ് മനു സാഹിത്യലോകത്തേക്ക് കടന്നുവന്നത്. ആറുവർഷക്കാലത്തെ ആഴത്തിലുള്ള ഗവേഷണത്തിന് ശേഷമാണ് ഇരുപത്തിനാലാം വയസ്സിൽ മനു എസ്‌ പിള്ള തന്റെ ആദ്യ കൃതിയായ, 700 ഓളം താളുകളുള്ള ഐവറി ത്രോൺ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നത് . ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിന് 2017ലെ കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമിയുടെ യുവ പുരസ്‌കാരവും ലഭിച്ചു [6][7][8]. ഈ കഥ അർക്ക മീഡിയ വർക്ക്സ് ഒരു വെബ് സീരീസിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു[9]. പതിമൂന്നാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ അവസാനം മുതൽ പതിനെട്ടാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ പ്രഭാതം വരെയുള്ള ഡെക്കാന്റെ കഥ പിള്ളയുടെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ കൃതിയായ എബൽ സുൽത്താൻസ് വിവരിക്കുന്നു.അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ ദി കോർട്ടെസാൻ, ദി മഹാത്മ ആൻഡ് ദി ഇറ്റാലിയൻ ബ്രാഹ്മിൺ എന്നിവയാണ് [10]. 2022 ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കാൻ പോകുന്ന തന്റെ അടുത്ത കൃതിക്കായി താൻ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു[11]

2017 ൽ കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമിയുടെ യുവ സാഹിത്യ പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിച്ചു. തിരുവിതാംകൂർ ചരിത്രത്തെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള 'ഐവറി ത്രോൺ: ക്രോണിക്കൽസ് ഓഫ് ദ ഫാമിലി ഓഫ് ട്രാവൻകൂർ' എന്ന ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിനായിരുന്നു പുരസ്കാരം.[12][13][14][15][16] തിരുവിതാംകൂറിലെ രാജ്ഞിയായിരുന്ന സേതുലക്ഷ്മിഭായിയുടെ ജീവിത കഥ ഈ ഗ്രന്ഥം അനാവരണം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
