മഗാഹി ഭാഷ

ഒരു ഭാഷ

കിഴക്കൻ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ബീഹാർ, ജാർഖണ്ഡ്, പശ്ചിമ ബംഗാൾ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലും, [9][10] നേപ്പാളിലെ തെറായിയിലും [11]സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഭാഷയാണ് മാഗാഹി ഭാഷ (𑂧👂𑂯𑂲), മഗധി (𑂧👂👂𑂲) എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. മാഗഹിയുടെ പൂർവ്വികനാണ് മാഗധി പ്രാകൃതം, അതിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഈ പേരുണ്ടായത്.[12]

നാടൻ പാട്ടുകളുടെയും കഥകളുടെയും വളരെ സമ്പന്നവും പഴയതുമായ പാരമ്പര്യമുണ്ട്. പശ്ചിമ ബംഗാളിലെ മാൾഡ ജില്ലയിലും ബീഹാറിലെ ഒമ്പത് ജില്ലകളിലും (ഗയ, പട്‌ന, ജെഹാനാബാദ്, ഔറംഗബാദ്, നളന്ദ, ഷെയ്ഖ്പുര, നവാഡ, ലഖിസാരായി, അർവാൾ), ജാർഖണ്ഡിലെ എട്ട് ജില്ലകൾ (ഹസാരിബാഗ്, പലാമു, ഛത്ര, കോഡെർമ, ജംതാര, ബൊക്കാറോ, ധൻബാദ്, ഗിരിദിഹ്) എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും ഇത് സംസാരിക്കുന്നു. [13]മഗാഹിയുടെ ഭാഷാഭേദമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ഖോർത്ത സംസാരിക്കുന്നവർ ഉൾപ്പെടെ[5]മഗാഹി ഭാഷ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഏകദേശം 20,700,000 പേരുണ്ട്.

പുരാതന മഗധ രാജ്യമായ മഗധയിൽ നിന്നാണ് മഗാഹി ഉരുത്തിരിഞ്ഞത്. ഗംഗയുടെ തെക്കും സോൻ ​​നദിയുടെ കിഴക്കുമുള്ള പ്രദേശമായിരുന്നു ഇതിന്റെ കേന്ദ്രം.

മഗാഹിയിൽ സംസാരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണം ഏകദേശം 12.6 ദശലക്ഷമാണെങ്കിലും ഇന്ത്യയിൽ അത് ഭരണഘടനാപരമായി അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല. ബീഹാറിൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസപരവും ഔദ്യോഗികവുമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഹിന്ദിയാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.[14] 1961 ലെ സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം മാഗാഹി ഹിന്ദിയുടെ കീഴിൽ നിയമപരമായി ലയിച്ചു.[15]
