The original name given to the photo in the archive is "Najermädchen v. Malabar." This has been translated to "Nayer girl from Malabar." where I obtained the picture from.

The University of Southern California Digital Library has also named it as "Nayer Girl from Malabar". I dont know what the confusion about the identity of the girl is about. Other pictures from the same era (possibly taken by the same photographer) identifies other nayer girls who wear identical ornaments and cloths. --Dr Ajay Balachandran (സംവാദം) 05:36, 2 ജൂലൈ 2012 (UTC)
