പെരിയാന്ത്

പെരിയാന്ത് The perianth (perigonium, perigon or perigone) പൂവിന്റെ കായികഭാഗമാണ്. ഇത് ഒരു അലൈംഗികഭാഗവുമാണ്. ഈ ഭാഗം പ്രത്യുത്പാദനഭാഗമല്ല. പൂവിന്റെ ലൈംഗികാവയമായ ജനിപുടം, കേസരപുടം ഇവയെ പൊതിഞ്ഞു നിൽക്കുന്നു. പെരിയാന്തിൽ ദളപുടം, വിദളംഎന്നിവ അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു. പെരിയാന്ത് എന്ന വാക്ക് ഗ്രിക്ക് വാക്കായ Greek περί, peri, അർത്ഥം: ചുറ്റിലും (around), άνθος, anthos, അർത്ഥം: പൂവ് (flower)എന്നീ വക്കുകൾ ചേർന്നതാണ്. ശേവാലങ്ങളിലും ലിവർവർട്ടുകളിലും പെരിയാന്ത് അലൈംഗികമായ ട്യൂബ് പൊലുള്ള രുപഘടനയുള്ള ഭാഗങ്ങളാണ്. ഇവ പെൺ ലൈംഗികഭാഗത്തെ ചുറ്റിനിൽക്കുന്നു. സപുഷ്പികളായ സസ്യങ്ങൾ 

വിദളങ്ങൾക്കും ദളങ്ങൾക്കും ആസ്യരന്ധ്രങ്ങളും സംവഹനവ്യൂഹവുമുണ്ട്. ഇവ ആവശ്യമില്ലങ്കിൽ കൂടി. മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന അവയവങ്ങൾ അതുപോലെ നിലനിന്നെങ്കിലും അവയുടെ ധർമ്മം അവ വഹിക്കുന്നില്ല. ആമ്പലിലും മറ്റും പെരിയാന്ത് പർവ്വങ്ങളിൽ സ്പ്രിങ് രൂപത്തിലാണ് ക്രമീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. വൃത്തവലയങ്ങളല്ല.

An additional structure in some plants (e.g. Narcissus, Passiflora (passion flower), some Hippeastrum, Liliaceae) is the corona (paraperigonium, paraperigon, or paracorolla), a ring or set of appendages of adaxial tissue arising from the corolla or the outer edge of the stamens. It is often positioned where the corolla lobes arise from the corolla tube.

Ligulate floret, typical for some members of the family Asteraceae:
A. inferior ovary
B. The calyx is a crown-shaped pappus, called a corona.
C. Anthers are united in a tube around the style, though the filaments are separate.
D. A ligulate petal extends from the tubular corolla.
