തെക്കൻ ചൊറിത്തവള
പശ്ചിമഘട്ടതദ്ദേശവാസിയായ ഒരു തവളയാണ് തെക്കൻ ചൊറിത്തവള അഥവാ Beddome’s Toad (Travancore Toad). (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Duttaphrynus beddomii). ഐ യു സി എൻ പട്ടികപ്രകാരമുള്ള പരിപാലന സ്ഥിതി വംശനാശ ഭീഷണി നേരിടുന്ന ജീവികൾ എന്നാണ്. കേരളത്തിലെയും തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലെയും 100–1,500 m (330–4,920 ft) asl ഉയരമുള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു.[1][2]
