മദ്ധ്യേഷ്യയിലെ ഇറാനിയൻ പാരമ്പര്യമുള്ള പേർഷ്യൻ ഭാഷികളായ ഒരു ജനവിഭാഗമാണ് താജിക്കുകൾ (تاجيک Tājīk; Тоҷик). [14] ഈ ജനതയുടെ പരമ്പരാഗതവാസസ്ഥലം, ഇന്നത്തെ അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താൻ, താജികിസ്താൻ, തെക്കൻ ഉസ്ബെക്കിസ്താൻ എന്നിവയാണ്. താജിക്കുകളിൽ ഒരു ചെറിയ വിഭാഗം ഇന്ന് ഇറാനിലും പാകിസ്താനിലും ജീവിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഇവരിൽ കൂടുതലും അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അഭയാർത്ഥികളാണ്.[15] ഭാഷയിലും സംസ്കാരത്തിലും ചരിത്രത്തിലും, താജിക്കുകൾ, ഇറാനിലെ പേർഷ്യൻ ഭാഷികളോട് വളരെ സാമീപ്യം പുലർത്തുന്നു. അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിലെ മറ്റു ജനവിഭാഗക്കാരെപ്പോലെ ഇവർ നാടോടികളല്ല എന്നതാണ് പ്രധാന പ്രത്യേകത. ഇവരുടെ ഉൽഭവവും, ചരിത്രവും അജ്ഞാതമാണെങ്കിലും പ്രദേശത്തെ പുരാതനപേർഷ്യൻ ജനവിഭാഗമായിരിക്കാം ഇവർ എന്നു കരുതുന്നു. [16] എന്നാൽ ഇറാനിയരുടേയും മംഗോളിയരുടേയും സങ്കരവംശമാണ് താജിക്കുകളുടേത് എന്നും വാദമുണ്ട്.[17]

താജിക് എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുകയും കിഴക്കൻ ഇറാനിയൻ ഭാഷകൾ സംസാരിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിലും ചൈനയിലെ താജിക്കുകൾ പേർഷ്യൻ താജിക്കുകളിൽ നിന്നും വ്യത്യസ്തരാണ്.[18][19]

ചരിത്രം തിരുത്തുക

താജിക്കുകളെക്കുറിച്ചെന്നു കരുതുന്ന ആദ്യപരാമർശം ബി.സി.ഇ. 128-ൽ അമു ദര്യ തീരങ്ങൾ സന്ദർശിച്ച ചൈനീസ് ദൂതനായിരുന്ന ചാങ് കിയന്റേതാണ്. ബാക്ട്രിയയിൽ വസിച്ചിരുന്ന ജനങ്ങളെക്കുറീച്ചുള്ള ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വിവരണം, താജിക്കുകളുടെ സ്വഭാവസവിശേഷതകളുമായി യോജിച്ചുപോകുന്നു. ബാക്ട്രിയയെ അദ്ദേഹം താ-ഹിയ എന്നാണ് പരാമർശിക്കുന്നത്. സ്ഥിരതാമസക്കാരായ ഇവിടത്തെ ജനങ്ങൾ ചുമരുകളുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ, സ്ഥിരം വീടുകളിലാണ് വസിച്ചിരുന്നത് എന്നും കണിശക്കാരായ കച്ചവടക്കാരായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും ഇവർ യുദ്ധനിപുണരായിരുന്നില്ല എന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കുന്നു.[16]

ആദ്യകാലത്ത് മദ്ധ്യേഷ്യയും വടക്കൻ അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനും പിടിച്ചടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഉസ്ബെക്കുകൾ, അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിലെ ഫാഴ്സി സംസാരിക്കുന്ന തദ്ദേശീയരെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന്‌ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്ന പേരാണ്‌ താജിക്. ഈ സമയം മുതൽക്കേ അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിലേയും താജികിസ്താൻ പോലുള്ള സമീപപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലേയും പേർഷ്യൻ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന സുന്നികളായ തദ്ദേശികളെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന്‌ താജിക് എന്ന പേരുപയോഗിച്ചുവന്നു.[20]

അറബിയിലെ താജ് എന്ന പേരിൽ നിന്നാണ് താജിക് എന്ന പേരുവന്നത് എന്ന വാദങ്ങളുണ്ട്. ദക്ഷിണപേർഷ്യയുടെ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും കീഴടക്കിയിരുന്ന അറബികൾക്ക് തദ്ദേശീയരിലുണ്ടായ സങ്കരസന്തതികൾക്ക് നൽകിയിരുന്ന വിളിപ്പേരാണ് താജ് എന്നത്.[16]

ഇരുപതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ അവസാനം മുതൽ മാത്രമാണ് താജിക് എന്ന പേരിൽ ഈ ജനതയെ വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്ന രീതി വ്യാപകമായത്. മദ്ധ്യേഷ്യയിലെ സോവിയറ്റ് ഭരണത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായാണിത്. അതിനു മുൻപ് പരിഹാസരൂപേണയാണ് ഈ പദം ഉപയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്.[14] ഫാഴ്സി (പേർഷ്യൻ എന്നർത്ഥം), ഫാർഴ്സിവാൻ (പേർഷ്യൻ ഭാഷക്കാരൻ), ദിഹ്ഗാൻ ( Деҳқон, Dehqon സ്ഥിരതാമസമാക്കിയ കൃഷിക്കാരൻ എന്നർത്ഥം - നാടോടി[൧] എന്നതിനു വിപരീതമായി)[21] തുടങ്ങിയവ താജിക്കുകളുടെ മറ്റു പേരുകളാണ്.

അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിൽ തിരുത്തുക

 
ബുർഹാനുദ്ദീൻ റബ്ബാനി - ഒരു താജിക് വംശജനായ ഇദ്ദേഹം, അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിലെ ഒരു പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട പ്രതിപക്ഷകക്ഷിയായ യുനൈറ്റഡ് നാഷണൽ ഫ്രണ്ടിന്റെ തലവനാണ്.

അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിലെ 27% ജനങ്ങൾ‌ താജിക്കുകളാണ്.[1] രാജ്യത്തെ വലിയ നഗരങ്ങളിലും വടക്കുകിഴക്കുഭാഗത്തുമാണ് ഇവർ വസിക്കുന്നത്. അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിലെ പുരാതനജനവിഭാഗമാണിവർ.[20] അലക്സാണ്ടറുടെ ആക്രമണകാലത്ത് ഹിന്ദുകുഷ് പ്രദേശത്ത് ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ഇന്തോ-ഇറാനിയരുടെ പിൻഗാമികൾ താജിക്കുകളാണെന്ന് കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു. [22]

ആദ്യകാലത്ത് പേർഷ്യൻ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന സുന്നികളായ തദ്ദേശികളെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന്‌ മാത്രമേ താജിക് എന്ന പേരുപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നുള്ളൂവെങ്കിൽ, ഇപ്പോൾ, അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിലെ പേർഷ്യൻ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന പഷ്തൂണുകളല്ലാത്ത എല്ലാവരേയും സൂചിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഈ പേര്‌ ഉപയോഗിക്കാറുണ്ട്. അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിലെ യഥാർത്ഥ താജിക്കുകൾ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വടക്കുകിഴക്കുഭാഗത്താണ്‌ വസിക്കുന്നത്.[20] കാബൂളിന് ചുറ്റുമായി, കോഹിസ്താനിലും പഞ്ച്ശീർ തടത്തിലും വടക്കുകിഴക്ക് ഹിന്ദുകുഷിനപ്പുറത്ത്, അമു ദര്യയുടെ മേൽഭാഗത്തുള്ള തടത്തിലും ഇവർ അധിവസിക്കുന്നു. ബാമിയാനിന് ചുറ്റുമായും, ഹെറാത്ത് പ്രവിശ്യയിലും ഇവരുടെ വലിയ കൂട്ടങ്ങളെ കാണാം. പാർസിവാനുകൾ എന്നാണ് അഫ്ഗാനികൾ, താജിക്കുകളെ വിളിക്കുന്ന പേര്. ഇന്നത്തെ താജിക്കുകൾ ശാന്തരായ കൃഷിക്കാരും പ്രവർത്തനനിരതരുമായ ജനങ്ങളാണ്. രാജ്യത്തെ ഭൂരിപക്ഷജനവിഭാഗമായ പഷ്തൂണുകളെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഇവർ ബൗദ്ധികമായി മുന്നിട്ടുനിൽക്കുന്നു.[16]

താജിക് എന്ന പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെടാനിഷ്ടപ്പെടാത്ത ഇവർ, പഞ്ച്ശീരി, ബദാഖ്ശാനി എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ ദേശത്തിന്റെ പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെടാനാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.[20]
