കങ്കാരു ഓന്ത്
തെക്കേ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു തദ്ദേശീയ ജീവിയാണ് കങ്കാരു ഓന്ത് (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Otocryptis beddomii)[1].ശരീരം മേലോട്ട് ഉയർത്തി പിൻകാലുകളിൽ ഓടുന്നത് കൊണ്ടാണ് കങ്കാരു ഓന്ത് എന്ന പേര് ലഭിച്ചത്.കേരളത്തിൽ ഏലമലയിലും തെന്മലയിലുമാണ് ഇവയെ കാണപ്പെടുന്നത്.
