എം.പി. നാരായണ മേനോൻ
സ്വതന്ത്ര സമര സേനാനിയും കോണ്ഗ്രസ് നേതാവും മലബാറിലെ ഖിലാഫത്ത് സമരങ്ങളിലെ സജീവ സാന്നിധ്യവും[1] മലബാർ കലാപത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത വ്യക്തിയുമായിരുന്നു മുതൽപ്പുരേടത്ത് പടിഞ്ഞാറേതിൽ നാരായണമേനോൻ എന്ന എം.പി. നാരായണമേനോൻ[2][3]. ഹിന്ദു മുസ്‌ലിം ഐക്യത്തിനായി[4] എന്നും മുൻ നിരയിൽ ഉണ്ടായ വ്യക്തിയായിരുന്നു ഇദ്ദേഹം. മലബാർ കലാപത്തിൽ ഖിലാഫത്ത് വളണ്ടിയർമാരെ പിന്തുണച്ചതിനു[5] ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാരുടെ ക്രൂര പീഡനങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റു വാങ്ങിയ ചരിത്രവും ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിനുണ്ട്. 1934-35 കാലയളവിൽ അദ്ദേഹം കെ.പി.സി.സി പ്രസിഡന്റായി സേവനമനുഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്[6][7] കുടിയാൻ നിവാരണ സംഘം രൂപീകരിച്ചത് മേനോനാണ്[8][9][10]. കേരളത്തിലെ കേരളത്തിലെ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യസമര സേനാനികളിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ കാലം ജയിൽശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിച്ചത് നാരായണമേനോനായിരിക്കും എന്ന് വിലയിരുത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.[11]
ജീവിതരേഖ തിരുത്തുക
1887 -ൽ പെരിന്തൽമണ്ണക്കടുത്ത് പുഴക്കാട്ടിരി മുതൽപ്പുരേടത്ത് പടിഞ്ഞാറേതിൽ കുടുംബത്തിലാണ് നാരയണമേനോൻ ജനിച്ചത്. അമ്മ അമ്മാളു അമ്മ. അച്ഛൻ ആലിപ്പറമ്പിൽ പറമ്പോട്ട് "പോർത്ത്യാർ" കുഞ്ഞുണ്ണിമേനോൻ[12]. 1966-ൽ നാരായണമേനോൻ അന്തരിച്ചു.

In 19 16, Malabar Kudiyan Sangham was formed with M P Narayana Menon and Kattilasseri Mohammed Maulawi, two leaders of the Indian National Congress as President and Secretary respectively. Its branches were set up all over Malabar within a short time. The leaders of the Association presented the tenants' problems on all Congress platforms
