ശരീരകലകളിൽ പഴുപ്പ് അടിഞ്ഞുകൂടിയുണ്ടാകുന്ന രോഗാവസ്ഥയാണ് കുരു അഥവാ പരു. ശരീരത്തിലുണ്ടാകുന്ന വീക്കം, ചുവന്ന തിണർപ്പ്, നീർവീക്കം, വേദന, കൂടിയ താപനില എന്നിവയെല്ലാം ഇതിന്റെ ലക്ഷണങ്ങളാണ്. വീക്കമുള്ള ഇടത്തിന് ചുറ്റിലും ചുവപ്പ് പടർന്നിട്ടുണ്ടാവാം[1],[2]. രോഗകാരികളായ ബാക്ടീരിയ ആണ് പൊതുവേ കുരു ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നത്. ചില സന്ദർഭങ്ങളിൽ വ്യത്യസ്ത തരത്തിലുള്ള ബാക്ടീരിയങ്ങൾ ഒരു ഭാഗത്ത് തന്നെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുവെന്നും വരാം. പരാദങ്ങളുടെ കടിയേറ്റും കുരു ഉണ്ടാകാറുണ്ട്[3],[1],[4] രോഗാണുക്കളോടുള്ള ശരീരത്തിന്റെ സ്വഭാവിക പ്രതിരോധപ്രവർത്തന ഫലമായാണ് പരു രൂപപ്പെടുന്നത്.

ചികിത്സ തിരുത്തുക
പരു തുറന്ന് മാലിന്യങ്ങളെ നീക്കം ചെയ്ത ശേഷം ആന്റിബയോട്ടിക് ഔഷധങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതാണ് കൂടുതൽ ഫലപ്രദം[5],[6].
