കെനിയയിലെ മൊംബാസയിൽ 1988 സെപ്തംബർ 5 ന് മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ ഏക മകളായി സാറ ഹസ്സൻ ജനിച്ചു. അവർ മച്ചാക്കോസ് ഗേൾസ് ഹൈസ്കൂളിൽ നിന്നും ഒ-ലെവൽ പരീക്ഷ നടത്തി. പിന്നീട് ജോമോ കെനിയാട്ട യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് അഗ്രികൾച്ചർ ആൻഡ് ടെക്നോളജിയിൽ ചേർന്നു. അവിടെ നിന്ന് ആക്ച്വറിയൽ സയൻസിൽ സയൻസ് ബിരുദം നേടി[2].

അഞ്ചാം വയസ്സിൽ അഭിനയം തുടങ്ങിയ ഹസ്സൻ[3] 2009-ൽ താഹിദി ഹൈ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ടിവി ഷോയിലൂടെയാണ് ടിവിയിൽ അക്കാലത്ത് മുൻനിരക്കാരിൽ ഒരാളായി അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചത്. Demigods, Saints,Changes തുടങ്ങി അവർ നിരവധി സീരിയലുകളിലും അഭിനയിച്ചു. ഈസ്റ്റ് ആഫ്രിക്കൻ ഡാൻസ് ഷോ സകത മഷാരികിയാണ് സാറ ആദ്യം അവതാരകയായത്. 2013-ൽ, 2014 ഡിസംബർ വരെ പ്രധാന അവതാരകയായി ദ വെഡ്ഡിംഗ് ഷോയിലെ നോനി ഗത്തോണിയുടെ വേഷം അവർ ഏറ്റെടുത്തു. അഭിനയത്തിന് പുറമേ, നിരവധി കെനിയൻ ഫാഷൻ നിരകളുടെ ബ്രാൻഡ് അംബാസഡറാണ്.[4] അവർ ഇപ്പോൾ കെനിയയിലെ നെയ്‌റോബിയിലാണ് താമസിക്കുന്നത്.
