we have named as வயிற்றுப் புண் (വയിറ്റു പുണ്) in tamil. A similar term is used in kannada too. peptic ulcer isn't a term which can tell its meaning through the name itself. Why dont you try a equivalent malayalam term? -தமிழ்க்குரிசில் (സംവാദം) 16:03, 29 ജൂലൈ 2013 (UTC)
- no same or similar word in malayalam. using it പെപ്റ്റിക് അൾസർ, and പെപ്റ്റിക് അൾസർ--49.203.186.75 17:10, 29 ജൂലൈ 2013 (UTC)
- If a similar malayalam word is used in some source (ayurveda experts may know the apt word - this is a condition known to indegenous medical fields) the transliterated heading may be replaced by anyone. I dont know any malayalam word used in the same sense (this shows my ignorance). Tamil has one advantage here - an expert group translates such technical terms into tamil (so there is a ready reference available to satisfy the wikipedians who ask for citations). --അജയ് ബാലചന്ദ്രൻ (സംവാദം) 11:08, 30 ജൂലൈ 2013 (UTC)

- Is there a reference of this word being used in malayalam language? (how is it written in malayalam is the question - പരിണാം ശൂൽ - doesnt sound malayam at all) I feel that the title can be changed if the proper way of writing this in malayalam is available. "Peptic Ulcer" can be made a thirichuvidal and it can be mentioned inside the article. Inviting more opinions. --അജയ് ബാലചന്ദ്രൻ (സംവാദം) 04:21, 1 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 2013 (UTC)
