ഡൽഹിയിൽ വച്ചു നടന്ന കോമൺവെൽത്ത് ഗെയിംസിൽ പാകിസ്താനെതിരേ നടന്ന ആവേശകരമായ മത്സരത്തിൽ സിംഗ് രണ്ട് ഗോളുകൾ നേടി ഇന്ത്യ 7-4 ന് വിജയിച്ചു.

ഹോക്കി ഇന്ത്യ ലീഗ് തിരുത്തുക

ഹോക്കി ഇന്ത്യ ലീഗിന്റെ ആദ്യ എഡിഷനിലെ ലേലത്തിൽ, പഞ്ചാബ് വാരിയേഴ്സ് 27,500 ഡോളറിനാണ് സിംഗിനെ വാങ്ങിയത്.^[1] എന്നാൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ അടിസ്ഥാന വില 18,500 ഡോളറായിരുന്നു.

2010 -ലെ ലോകകപ്പ് ഫൈനലിൽ ഇന്ത്യ 4-1 ന് വിജയിച്ചപ്പോൾ പാകിസ്താന്റെ ഫരീദ് അഹമ്മദിനെ മനഃപൂർവ്വം തല്ലിയതിന് ശിവേന്ദ്രയ്ക്ക് രണ്ട് മത്സര നിരോധനങ്ങളാണ് ലഭിച്ചത്.^[2]
