വെള്ളക്കണ്ണി എരണ്ടയുടെ[2] [3][4][5] ശാസ്ത്രീയ നാമം Aythya nyroca എന്നും ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലെ പേര് Ferruginous Duck, Ferruginous pochard, അഥവാ White-eyed pochard എന്നുമാണ്.

ഇടത്തരം വലിപ്പമുള്ള മുങ്ങാംകുഴിയിടുന്ന താറാവാണ്.
പ്രജനനം തിരുത്തുക
ഇവ യൂറോപ്പിന്റെ തെക്കും കിഴക്കും ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും ഏഷ്യയുടെ തെക്കും പടിഞ്ഞാറും പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്നത്. തണുപ്പുകാളത്ത് തെക്കോട്ടും ആഫ്രിക്കയുടെ വടക്കുഭാഗത്തേക്കും ദേശാടനം നടത്തും. മുതിര്ന്ാട ആണ്പആക്ഷി ചെമ്പിച്ച തവിട്ടു നിറത്തോടുകൂടിയതാൺ. പുറം കൂടുതൽ ഇരുണ്ടതാണ്. മഞ്ഞ കണ്ണുകളുണ്ട്. പിടയ്ക്ക് അല്പം മങ്ങിയ നിറവും ഇരുണ്ടകണ്ണുകളുമാണ്. ഇവ തണുപ്പുകാലത്ത് വലിയ കൂട്ടങ്ങളായി ചേരും. പല്പ്പോണഴും മറ്റു മുങ്ങല്കാുരായ താറവുകളുമായും ഇടകലര്ന്ന് കാണാറുണ്ട്.
ഭക്ഷണം തിരുത്തുക
ഇവ അധികവും മുങ്ങാംകുഴിയിട്ടാണ് ഇര തേടുന്നത്. ജലസസ്യങ്ങളും ജലത്തിലെ പ്രാണികളും ചെറുമത്സ്യങ്ങളുമൊക്കെയാൺ ഭക്ഷണം.
