വാൾട്ടർ ബെസൻറ്

ഒരു നോവലിസ്റ്റും ചരിത്രകാരനുമായിരുന്നു സർ വാൾട്ടർ ബെസൻറ് (ജീവിതകാലം: 14 ആഗസ്റ്റ് 1836 – 9 ജൂൺ 1901). അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ ഒരു സഹോദരൻ വില്ല്യം ഹെൻട്രി ബെസൻറും മറ്റൊരു സഹോദരനായ ഫ്രാങ്ക്, ആനി ബെസൻറിൻറെ ഭർത്താവുമായിരുന്നു.

വൈൻ വ്യാപാരിയായിരുന്ന വില്യം ബെസന്റിന്റെ (1800-1879)[1] മകനായി, ഹാംഷെയറിലെ പോർട്ട്സ്മൗത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച വാൾട്ടർ ബെസൻറ് സൌത്ത്‍സീയിലെ സെൻറ് പോൾസ്, ലണ്ടനിലെ സ്റ്റോക്ക്വെൽ വ്യാകരണ സ്കൂൾ, ലണ്ടനിലെ കിംഗ്സ് കോളേജ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നടത്തി.

ഔദ്യോഗികജീവിതം തിരുത്തുക

1868 ൽ അദ്ദേഹം സ്റ്റഡീസ് ഇൻ ഫ്രഞ്ച് പോയട്രി എന്ന കൃതി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു. മൂന്ന് വർഷത്തിന് ശേഷം അദ്ദേഹം എഴുത്തുകാരനായ ജെയിംസ് റൈസുമായി സഹകരണം ആരംഭിച്ചു. റെഡി-മണി മോർട്ടിബോയ് (1872), ദി ഗോൾഡൻ ബട്ടർഫ്ലൈ (1876) എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന അവരുടെ സംയുക്ത രചനകളിലെ രണ്ട് കൃതികളും, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് രണ്ടാമത്തേത്, വളരെ വലിയ വിജയമായിരുന്നു. 1882 ൽ റൈസിന്റെ മരണത്തോടെ ഈ ബന്ധം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു.
