മൗണ്ടൻ വ്യൂ അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളിൽ കാലിഫോർണിയ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് സാന്താ ക്ലാര കൗണ്ടിയിലെ ഒരു നഗരമാണ്.[9] സാന്താക്രൂസ് മലനിരകളുടെ[10] കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുള്ളതിനാലാണ് നഗരത്തിന് ഈ പേരു ലഭിച്ചത്. ഒരു സ്റ്റേജ്കോച്ച് സ്റ്റോപ്പ് എന്ന നിലയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ആരംഭത്തിൽനിന്ന്, കാൽനട സൌഹൃദമായ നഗരകേന്ദ്രവും 74,066 ജനസംഖ്യയുമുള്ള ഒരു വലിയ നഗരപ്രാന്തപ്രദേശമായി ഇതു വളർന്നു.[11] പാലോ ആൾട്ടോ, സാൻ ഫ്രാൻസിസ്കോ ഉൾക്കടൽ എന്നിവ നഗരത്തിന്റെ വടക്കൻ അതിർത്തിയും ലോസ് അൾട്ടോസ് തെക്കൻ അതിർത്തിയും മോഫെറ്റ് ഫെഡറൽ എയർഫീൽഡ്, സണ്ണിവെയിൽ എന്നിവ നഗരത്തിന്റെ കിഴക്കൻ അതിർത്തിയുമാണ്.
