പ്രെസ്സ് ട്രസ്റ്റ് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ
ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സ്വതന്ത്ര വാർത്താ ഏജൻസിയാണ് പ്രെസ്സ് ട്രസ്റ്റ് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ. (ഹിന്ദി: प्रेस ट्रस्ट ऑफ़् इंडिया) (അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത് PTI) ഇതിൽ 1300 ഓളം ആളുകൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. 1947 ൽ ഇന്ത്യക്ക് സ്വാത്രന്ത്ര്യം കിട്ടിയതിനു ശേഷം ഈ സ്ഥാപനം അസ്സോസ്സിയേറ്റഡ് പ്രസ്സ്, റോയ്‌റ്റേഴ്സ് എന്നി സ്ഥാപനങളിൽ നിന്നും പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റെടുത്തു. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്. ഹിന്ദി എന്നീ ഭാഷകളിൽ വാർത്തകൾ നൽകി വരുന്നു. ദില്ലി ആസ്ഥാനമാക്കി ലാഭേച്ഛയില്ലാതെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന പി.റ്റി.ഐ നാന്നൂറ്റി അമ്പതോളം ഭാരതീയ പത്രങ്ങളുടെ സഹകരണ കൂട്ടായ്മയാണ്.ഇന്ത്യയിലുടനീളം നൂറ്റമ്പതോളം ഓഫീസുകളും രണ്ടായിരത്തോളം ജീവനക്കാരും പി.റ്റി.ഐ.ക്കുണ്ട്.സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യാനന്തരം വാർത്താ ഏജൻസികളായ അസ്സോസിയേറ്റഡ് പ്രസ്സിന്റേയും റോയിട്ടേഴ്സിന്റെയും ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ചുമതലകൾ പി.റ്റി.ഐ ഏറ്റെടുത്തു.സ്വന്തമായി വാർത്താവിനിമയ ഉപഗ്രഹമുള്ള (ഇൻസാറ്റ്) ഏക ദക്ഷിണേഷ്യൻ വാർത്താ ഏജൻസി പി.റ്റി.ഐയാണ്.വി.കെ.ചോപ്രയാണ് ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ചെയർമാൻ.
