പൊതുവിൽ അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട പല വ്യാഖാനങ്ങൾ പ്രകാരം ഭാഗികമായെങ്കിലും യൂറോപ്പ് ഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടിക ആണ് താഴെ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഭൂമിശാസ്‌ത്രപരമായോ നയതന്ത്രപരമായോ ഉള്ള വിവക്ഷകൾ ഇതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടാം. 56 പരമാധികാര രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ 6 രാജ്യങ്ങൾക്കു പരിമിതമായ അംഗീകാരമുള്ളവ യൂറോപ്പ് ഭൂപ്രദേശത്തു ഉൾപെടുന്നതോ രാജ്യാന്തര യൂറോപ്യൻ കൂട്ടായ്മകളിൽ അംഗത്വം ഉള്ളവയോ ആണ്. എട്ടു പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ യൂറോപ്യൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമല്ലാത്തവയോ പ്രിത്യേക രാഷ്ട്രീയ പദവി ഉള്ളവയോ ആണ്.
