ന്യൂ ബ്രൺസ്വിക്ക് കാനഡയുടെ കിഴക്കൻ തീരത്തെ നാല് അറ്റ്ലാന്റിക് പ്രവിശ്യകളിലൊന്നാണ്. കാനഡയുടെ ഭരണഘടന പ്രകാരം ന്യൂ ബ്രൺസ്വിക്ക് മാത്രമാണ് രാജ്യത്തെ ദ്വിഭാഷാ പ്രവിശ്യ. ജനസംഖ്യയുടെ മൂന്നിൽ രണ്ടുഭാഗം ഇംഗ്ളീഷ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നവരായും മൂന്നാമതു ഭാഗം ഫ്രഞ്ച് സംസാരിക്കുന്നവരായും സ്വയം പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു. ജനസംഖ്യയിൽ മൂന്നിലൊന്ന് ഇരുഭാഷകളും ഒരുപോലെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നവാരായി വെളിവാക്കുന്നു. അസാധാരണമായി ജനസംഖ്യയുടെ പകുതി മാത്രം പട്ടണപ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്നു. കൂടുതലും ഗ്രേറ്റർ മോൺക്ടൺ, ഗ്രേറ്റർ സെന്റ് ജോൺ, എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും തലസ്ഥാനമായ ഫ്രഡറിക്ടണിലുമായാണ് വസിക്കുന്നത്.
