ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയിലെ ജൊഹനാസ്ബർഗ്ഗിൽനിന്നും 50കി.മീ അകലെയായി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു പാലിയോആന്ത്രപോളജിക്കൽ ചരിത്ര പ്രദേശമാണ് മനുഷ്യരാശിയുടെ കളിതൊട്ടിൽ (ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: Cradle of Humankind) എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയിലെ ഹൊമിനിഡ് ഫോസിൽ പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ (ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: Fossil Hominid Sites of South Africa). ഗൗത്തെങ് പ്രവിശ്യയിലാണ് ഈ ചരിത്രഭൂമിക സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. 1999-ൽ ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ യുനെസ്കോ ലോക പൈതൃകകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തി.[4] 47,000 hectares (180 sq mi) ആണ് ഈ പ്രദേശങ്ങളുടെ ആകെ വിസ്തൃതി.[5]ചുണ്ണാമ്പ്കൽ ഗുഹകളുടെ ഒരു ശൃംഖലതന്നെ ഇതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.
