തിയോഡോർ വോൾഫ്

തിയോഡോർ വോൾഫ് (2 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 2, 1968 - സെപ്റ്റംബർ 23, 1943) ഒരു ജർമൻ എഴുത്തുകാരനും ഒരു പത്രപ്രവർത്തകനും, വിമർശകനും, പത്രം എഡിറ്ററുമായിരുന്നു.[1] അദ്ദേഹം ജനിച്ചതും മരിച്ചതും ബെർലിനിൽ തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു.[2]1906-നും 1933-നും ഇടയ്ക്ക് രാഷ്ട്രീയ ലിബറൽ പത്രമായ 'ബെർലിനർ ടേഗ്ബ്ലാട്ടി'ന്റെ പ്രധാന എഡിറ്ററായിരുന്നു.

ഒരു എഴുത്തുകാരനെന്ന നിലയിലുള്ള അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കഴിവുകൾ പ്രശംസ പിടിച്ചുപറ്റിയിരുന്നു. 1939-ൽ ജോസഫ് ഗീബെൽസ് പത്രാധിപരുടെ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിലെ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ, താൻ എഡിറ്റുചെയ്ത പത്രത്തിന്റെ മടക്കിനൽകുന്ന വോൾഫ് സംഭാവനകളെ പഠിക്കാൻ ശുപാർശ ചെയ്തു. ഗീബൽസിന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ, യഹൂദനായിരുന്നിട്ടും, വുൾഫിനോടപേക്ഷിച്ച് എഴുത്തിന്റെ ഗുണനിലവാരവുമായി യോജിക്കുന്നവർ ജർമ്മനിയിൽ വളരെ കുറച്ചു പേർ മാത്രമേ ഉള്ളൂ.[3]

Das Lob kam von höchster Stelle, doch es war verlogen und zynisch. Sie sollten mal in den alten Bänden des Berliner Tageblatts nachlesen, empfahl Propagandaminister Joseph Goebbels 1939 seinen Parteischreibern, bei einem 'gewissen Theodor Wolff', der 'zwar Jude' sei, 'aber schreiben konnte wie nur ganz wenige in Deutschland'.
