ഡാർലിങ് നിരകൾ
പശ്ചിമ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലെ ഒരു പർവത നിരയാണ് ഡാർലിങ് നിരകൾ അഥവാ ഡാർലിങ് സ്കാർപ്. ഇത് പശ്ചിമ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയുടെ തലസ്ഥാനമായ പെർത്തിന് കിഴക്കായി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയുടെ പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ തീരപ്രദേശത്തിനു സമാന്തരമായി ഗിൻജിൻ മുതൽ ബ്രിഡ്ജ് ടൗൺ വരെ വ്യാപിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്ന ഈ മലനിരയ്ക്ക് ഏതാണ്ട് 320 കിലോമീറ്റർ നീളമുണ്ട്. ഡാർലിങ് നിരകളുടെ ശരാശരി ഉയരം 270 മീറ്റർ ആണ്. മൗണ്ട് കുക്ക് (582 മീ.) മൗണ്ട് സോളസ് (557 മീ.) എന്നിവ ഈ പർവത നിരയിലെ ഉയരം കൂടിയ കൊടുമുടികളാകുന്നു. പെർത്തിലെ മുഖ്യ ജലവിതരണ സ്രോതസ്സായ കാനിങ് ജലസംഭരണി (Canning Dam) ഈ നിരയിലാണ് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. താരതമ്യേന ഉയരം കുറഞ്ഞ ഈ നിരകൾക്ക് 1827-ലാണ് ഡാർലിങ് നിരകൾ എന്ന പേരു ലഭിച്ചത്. ന്യൂസൗത്ത് വെയ്‌ൽ‍സ് ഗവർണർ ആയിരുന്ന സർ റാൽഫ് ഡാർലിങിന്റെ (Sr.Ralph Darling ) സ്മരണാർഥമായിരുന്നു ഇത്.
