1972 ഒക്ടോബർ 30ന് ബൾഗേറിയയിലെ സോഫിയയിൽ ഒരു ഒരു കലാകാരൻമാരുടെ കുടുംബത്തിൽ ജനിച്ചു. ജൂലിയയുടെ ഒരു ചെറുകഥയ്ക്ക് 1995ലെ യുനെസ്‌കോയുടെ വാർഷിക പുരസ്‌കാരം ലഭിച്ചതോടെയാണ് ഒരു എഴുത്തുകാരിയെന്ന നിലയിൽ ഇവർ അറിയപ്പെടാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെടാൻ തുടങ്ങിയത്. ഈ കഥ പിന്നീട് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്, ഫ്രഞ്ച് അടക്കമുള്ള ഭാഷകളിലെ ചെറുകഥാ സമാഹാരങ്ങളിൽ ഇടം നേടി. 1996ൽ മൂനിച്ചിൽ നടന്ന വിദ്യാർഥി ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിൽ തിരക്കഥകളുടെ വിധികർത്താവാകാൻ ക്ഷണം ലഭിച്ചു. ബൾഗേറിയൻ റൈറ്റേഴ്‌സ് അസോസിയേഷൻ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ചിൽഡ്രൻസ് ബുക്ക് കൈയെഴുത്ത് പ്രതി മത്സരത്തിൽ ജൂലിയയയുടെ പ്രഥമ നോവലായ മൈ സ്വീറ്റ് പാത്ത്‌വാക്കർ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം നേടി. 2007ൽ മോസ്‌കോയിൽ നടന്ന അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ബുക്‌ഫെയറിൽ ബൾഗേറിയയെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച് റഷ്യൻ പ്രസിഡന്റിന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ക്ഷണിതാവായി പങ്കെടുത്തു. 2010ൽ ബൾഗേറിയൻ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ, ശാസ്ത്ര മന്ത്രാലയം യുവജനങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ ആത്മീയ സംസ്‌കാരത്തിന് ജൂലിയ നൽകിയ സേവനങ്ങൾ പരിഗണിച്ച് പ്രത്യേക പുരസ്‌കാരം നൽകി. ബൾഗേറിയയിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തുമാണ് ജൂലിയ. ബൾഗേറിയൻ നാഷണൽ ടെലിവിഷനുവേണ്ടി 400ൽ അധികം സ്‌ക്രിപ്റ്റുകൾ രചിച്ചു.
