ആദ്യകാലജീവിതം
തിരുത്തുകഹിമാചൽ പ്രദേശിലെ സിർമൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ പബിയാന ഗ്രാമത്തിലാണ് ജഗത് റാം ജനിച്ചത്. [2] രാജ്ഗറിലെ തന്റെ ഹൈസ്കൂളിൽ എത്താൻ ഏകദേശം 10 കിലോമീറ്റർ ദൂരം അദ്ദേഹം ദിവസവും നടക്കാറുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. [3] [4] 1978 ൽ ഹിമാചൽ പ്രദേശ് സർവകലാശാലയുമായി അഫിലിയേറ്റ് ചെയ്ത ഷിംലയിലെ ഇന്ദിരാഗാന്ധി മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ നിന്ന് എംബിബിഎസ് പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ അദ്ദേഹം പിന്നീട് 1982 ജൂണിൽ പി‌ജി‌ഐ‌എമ്മറിൽ നിന്ന് നേത്രരോഗത്തിൽ എം‌എസിൽ റെസിഡൻസി പൂർത്തിയാക്കി. കരിയർ
തിരുത്തുകപിജിഐമെറിലെ നേത്രരോഗ വിഭാഗം മേധാവിയായിരുന്നു റാം. [6] 2015 ൽ ബാഴ്സലോണയിലെ വേൾഡ് കോൺഗ്രസ് ഓഫ് പീഡിയാട്രിക് ഒഫ്താൽമോളജി, സ്ട്രാബിസ്മസ് എന്നിവയിൽ പീഡിയാട്രിക് ഒഫ്താൽമോളജിയുടെ ഓസ്കാർ നേടി. [7] 2017 മാർച്ചിൽ പി‌ജി‌ഐ‌എമ്മറിൽ ഡയറക്ടറായി അദ്ദേഹം ചുമതലയേറ്റു. [2] [8] 2019 ജനുവരിയിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് രാഷ്ട്രപതി പത്മശ്രീ അവാർഡ് നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു. 2019 ൽ അദ്ദേഹം PGIMER ൽ 40 വർഷം പൂർത്തിയാക്കി. [9]
