വിവരണം തിരുത്തുക
കേരളത്തിൽ ഇവയ്ക്ക് (പ്രജനന കാലമല്ലാത്തപ്പോൾ) ചാരതവിട്ടു നിറം മുകളിലും വെള്ള കർന്ന നിറം അടിയിലും.അധികം പുള്ളികളോ വരകളൊ ഇല്ല. ചുവന്ന കാലുകളും ചുന്ന കൊക്കിന്റെ അറ്റവും ഉണ്ട് പ്രജന കാലത്ത്. തവിട്ടു നിറം മുകളിലും. കുറച്ചുകൂടി മങ്ങിയ നിറം താഴേയും.
വളരെ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന പക്ഷിയാണ്.
പ്രജനനം തിരുത്തുക
നനവുള്ള പുൽമേടുകളിലും ഉപ്പുപാടങ്ങളിലും കാണുന്നു. 3-5 മുട്ടകളിടും.
