പുതിയ ഏഴു ലോകാത്ഭുതങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് 2007 മുതൽ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട ബ്രസീലിലെ റിയോവിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പ്രതിമയായ ക്രൈസ്റ്റ് ദി റെഡീമർ (പോർച്ചുഗീസ്: O Cristo Redentor) അഥവ രക്ഷകനായ ക്രിസ്തു [1][2] ഈ പ്രതിമക്ക് 30 metres (98 ft) വീതിയും 38 metres (125 ft) ഉയരവുമുണ്ട്. 635 ടൺ (700 short tons) ഉയരമുള്ള ഈ പ്രതിമ 700 metres (2,300 ft) ഉയരമുള്ള കോർകോവാഡോ എന്ന മലയുടെ മുകളിലാണ് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ലോകത്തിലെ തന്നെ ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള പ്രതിമകളിൽ വലിയ ഒന്നാണ് ഇത്. ബ്രസീലിന്റെ ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ മതത്തിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രധാന ചിഹ്നമായി ഈ പ്രതിമ നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു.
