മെയ് 17 നാണ് കാതറിൻ ജനിച്ചത്. അവരുടെ അച്ഛൻ കാമറൂണിൽ നിന്നും അമ്മ നൈജീരിയയിൽ നിന്നുമാണ്.[6] കാതറിൻ ഒബിയാങ് വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചത് ഹു വാണ്ട്സ് ടു ബി എ മില്യണയർ (നൈജീരിയൻ ഗെയിം ഷോ) ഹോസ്റ്റായ ഫ്രാങ്ക് എഡോഹോയെ ആയിരുന്നു. ഇരുവരും മൂന്ന് കുട്ടികളുമായി 7 വർഷമായി വിവാഹിതരായിരുന്നു. 2011ൽ വേർപിരിഞ്ഞു[7]. ഫ്രാങ്ക് എഡോഹോയുടെ കോപവും ഗാർഹിക പീഡനവും കാരണം വിവാഹം 2013[8] ൽ അവസാനിച്ചു.
