പതിമൂക്കൻ കുരങ്ങ് വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ഒരു ഉപ വർഗ്ഗമാണ് കറുമ്പൻ പതിമൂക്കൻ കുരങ്ങ് (റൈനൊപിതെകസ് ബീറ്റി ). പ്രൈമേറ്റ ഗോത്രത്തിലെ സെർക്കോപൈതീസിഡെ (Cercopithecidae) കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ഉപകുടുംബമായ കൊളോബിനെ (Colobinae)യിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന വലിപ്പം കുറഞ്ഞ കുരങ്ങുക്കൾ ആണ് ഇവ .

വംശനാശ ഭീഷണി നേരിടുന്നു ജീവികൾ ആണിവ. ഏകദേശം 800 മുതൽ 1,200 എണ്ണം വരെ മാത്രമേ സ്വാഭാവിക മേഖലയിൽ അവശേഷിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളൂ.

ഏകദേശം 74-83 സെ മീ നീളവും , 51-72 സെ മീപൊക്കവും ഉണ്ട് ഇവയ്ക്ക് . ഭാരം ആൺ കുരങ്ങിൽ 15-17 കിലോയും , പെൺ കുരങ്ങിൽ 9-12 കിലോയും ആണ് .
