എസ്.വി. സുനിൽ
ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ഹോക്കി കളിക്കാരനാണ് എസ്.വി. സുനിൽ. [1]സോംവാർപേട് വിട്ടാലാചാര്യ സുനിൽ(Somwarpet Vittalacharya Sunil ) എന്നാണ് പൂർണനാമം. 2012ലെ ലണ്ടൻ ഒളിബിക്‌സിൽ ഇന്ത്യയെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം 2014 കോമൺ‌വെൽത്ത് ഗെയിംസിൽ വെള്ളി നേടി.[2][3]

ആദ്യകാല ജീവിതം
തിരുത്തുക1989 മെയ് 6ന് കർണാടകയിലെ കുടക് ജില്ലയിൽ വിട്ടലാചാര്യ ശാന്ത ദമ്പതികളുടെ മകനായി ജനിച്ചു. നാലാം വയസ്സിൽ അമ്മ മരിച്ചു. മരപ്പണിക്കാരനായ അച്ചനും സ്വർണപ്പണിക്കാരനായ സഹോദരനും[4] ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ദരിദ്ര കുടുംബത്തിലായിരുന്നു ജനനം. ചെറുപ്പത്തിൽ തന്നെ മുള ഹോക്കി സ്റ്റിക്കായി ഉപയോഗിച്ച് കളിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി.[5]
ഔദ്യോഗിക ജീവിതം
തിരുത്തുക2007ൽ ചെന്നൈയിൽ നടന്ന ഏഷ്യ കപ്പിലൂടെയാണ് ദേശീയ സീനിയർ ടീമിൽ സുനിൽ അരങ്ങേറ്റം നടത്തിയത്.[6] 2008ലെ സുൽത്താൻ അസ്‌ലൻ ഷാ ഹോക്കി ടൂർണമെന്റ്ിൽ വെള്ളി കപ്പ് നേടിയ ഇന്ത്യൻ ടീമിലും സുനിൽ അംഗമായിരുന്നു. 2011ലെ മെൻസ് ഹോക്കി ചാംപ്യൻസ് ചല്ലഞ്ചിൽ നേടിയ എട്ടു ഗോളാണ് സുനിലിന്റെ ആദ്യത്തെ ഉയർന്ന സ്‌കോർ.[6] ചാമ്പ്യൻസ് ട്രോഫി ഹോക്കിയിൽ ദേശീയ ടീമിന്റൈ വൈസ് ക്യാപ്റ്റനായിരുന്നു സുനിൽ.
