ഒരു അമേരിക്കൻ നടിയും മോഡലുമാണ് മേരി എല്ലെ ഫണ്ണിംഗ് (ജനനം: ഏപ്രിൽ 9, 1998). അഭിനേത്രിയായ ഡക്കോട്ട ഫണ്ണിംഗിന്റെ ഇളയ സഹോദരിയും തന്റെ നാടകമായ ഐ ആം സാം (2001) എന്ന സിനിമയിലെ സഹോദരിയുടെ കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ ചെറുപ്പക്കാരിയുമാണ്. ഒരു ബാല ചലച്ചിത്രനടിയായി ബികോസ് ഓഫ് വിൻ ഡിക്സി (2005), ബാബേൽ (2006), ഫൊബ് ഇൻ വണ്ടർലാൻറ് (2008), സോഫിയ കോപെലെയുടെ സംവേർ (2010) എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു. 2011-ൽ ജെ. ജെ. അബ്രാംസിന്റെ ശാസ്ത്ര ഫിക്ഷൻ നാടകമായ സൂപ്പർ 8 ൽ ആലിസ് ഡെയിനാർഡ് എന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തെ ഫണ്ണിംഗ് അഭിനയിച്ചിരുന്നു. അതിൽ ഹോളിവുഡ് ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിലെ മികച്ച പ്രതികരണങ്ങളും ഒരു സ്പോട്ട്ലൈറ്റ് അവാർഡും അവർക്ക് ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു.[1]ഈ വിജയത്തിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ, ഫണ്ണിംഗ് വി ബ്രോട്ട് എ സൂ (2011), ജിംജർ & റോസ (2012), മേൽഫിസെന്റ്(2014) എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു. ഈ ചിത്രത്തിൽ ഫണ്ണിംഗ് രാജകുമാരി ആരൊറ ആയിരുന്നു. 3 ജെനറേഷൻസ് (2015), ദി നിയോൺ ഡെമോൺ (2016), 20-ാം സെഞ്ച്വറി വുമൺ (2016), ദി ബെഗ്യൂൾഡ് (2017) എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലെ വേഷങ്ങളിലൂടെ ഒരു സ്വതന്ത്രപരിവർത്തനത്തിലേക്ക് കടന്നു.
