ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലെ ഒരു യാത്രാതീവണ്ടി
1970 ഫെബ്രുവരിമാസം തുടക്കം കുറിച്ച ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലെ ഒരു യാത്രാതീവണ്ടിയാണ് ഇന്ത്യൻ പസഫിക് (ആംഗലേയം:Indian Pacific).[3] ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയുടെ ഇന്ത്യൻ മഹാസമുദ്രതീരത്തെ പെർത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തെ മുറിച്ച പസഫിക് തീരത്തെ സിഡ്നി വരെയാണ് ഈ തീവണ്ടിയുടെ സഞ്ചാരം. ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ദൂരം 478-kilometre (297 mi) നേർ രേഖയിലെ റയിൽപ്പാത ഈ സഞ്ചാരപാതയിലെ പ്രത്യേകതയാണ്. ഇത് ദക്ഷിണ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയ്ക്കും പശ്ചിമ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയ്ക്കും ഇടയിലെ നല്ലർബാർ പ്ലയിനിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു.[4]
